it's a office chair
liked that it said it will support 500 pounds,, nice and wide seat for us wide bodies ,, but I wonder how long the hydraulic piston will last?? only about a inch and half thick alowing to flex when you lean down to pick something upthe only drawback I've seen so far is that it rises up to the top when you get up making it nice to stand up BUT you need to readjust it every time you sit down

Worth every penny - so far
This chair is very comfortable. After reading reviews, I was concerned about the chair staying upright and not being a good fit. After my husband and I put the chair together, we think some of the problem is the assembly instructions. There is an error. They show you were to put the right and left arm rests but if you follow their instructions you will be putting the seat of the chair on backwards. On the bottom of the seat they have printed the word "front". If you use that as the guide, and then put the chair together, it will be assembled correctly. We put it together on 11/20. As of today, I am very happy with it.

Decent enough
Being a larger fellow, I have to buy everything with that in mind. Most of the high weight class chairs are terribly expensive, so I thought I would give this one a shot because it was much more affordable. The good:* affordable* seems fairly sturdy, particularly at this price point* attractive enough* didn't require multiple people or an engineering degree to assemble* it really is big enough for pretty much any butt to fit in it, regardless of how oversized, you could likely fit 2 small framed people in it side by side without cramming them in* the arms don't get in the way at all if you don't want them down, they swing back completely out of the wayThe bad:* the casters is ships with really are junk, replace them day 1* the angle of the seat itself (not adjustable) is not optimal, it doesn't make you feel like you're sliding out of the chair, but it's close. Artful arrangement of the aftermarket seat padding can alleviate this fairly well* definitely needs more/better seat padding, you'll almost certainly need to address it with an aftermarket solution after being seated 3 or so hours working, your tailbone will feel like someone hit it with a hammer without aftermarket padding* if you don't NEED a seat that large, don't buy this chair, it swallows normal sized folks wholeThe Ugly:* Every person that's sat in the chair has commented it's uncomfortable, literally every person. Big, Tall, Fat, Short, Skinny, every combination. Not a single person has said they liked the feel of it as shipped* Not great for work at home or extended computer use as shipped, I found myself shifting around trying to get something resembling comfortable after just 20 mins seated. After an hour it's almost actually painful. I blame that as a combination of the seating angle and the seat padding.Verdict:Fat folks, and we know who we are, this is an acceptable cheap compromise for a home chair. It's cheap, doesn't feel like you're going to break it every time you sit down. It may not offer great comfort, but there's seating pads that will address that, and it's worth it not to have to try and squeeze into chairs for "normal folks". Considering the next "step up" in quality for a large chair is likely going to be 3 times the price, $600+, it's worth taking the chance to see if they chair can be made to work for you, so long as you're aware that 'as is', it's not really going to be optimal for extended seating working from home, gaming or just puttering around on the internet. And you will have to replace those casters.

Really good, while it lasted.
I've had the chair now for 8 months only, and it had performed great up until last week, when the seat began to shift oddly on the stem of the chair. It's as if the seat is too loose and will not remain parallel to the ground. Now, as I'm seated, if I shift my weight in any direction the seat will tip towards that direction. It did really well up until now. I'm not sure what the issue is, my weight is far below the maximum capactiy for the chair. I'm way passed the return window otherwise it would've been packaged and shipped back ASAP. Now I'm shopping for another chair again. Hope this helps!

Stylish and sturdy -- so far, no issues ...
I haven't had this chair very long (just a few weeks), but I already like it a lot. I'm a larger female -- although I'm well below the max weight for this chair, I wanted something sturdy enough to last a while and still be comfortable. This seems to do just that. The height adjustment works just fine, but the tilt adjustment is not as convenient as I'd hoped (it can't be adjusted while you're seated in the chair). Still, that's a minor quibble.I purchased the grey frame / grey mesh version and I love the look. The lumbar support is adjustable (it's a pillow on an elastic strap -- not super complicated), and works nicely.I may swap out the wheels for something a little better for my floors here. Otherwise, I really like the chair and have no issues awarding 5 stars.

A good chair
This is a good chair but the only thing I wish it would do is tilt the seat. It helps at time for me to straighten my back out.

Perfect work from home chair!
I am a 5’7, 295lb female that works from home, sitting at a desk, 8-9 hours a day. I’ve also never put a chair together before but I know how to follow basic instructions. I bought this chair because I have a lap cat and I wanted a bigger seat.I put this chair together, by myself, in about 20 minutes. It is super comfortable. I didn’t have any issues with anything being broken, missing, or falling apart as some other people have said to experience. When I sit in the chair, I don’t “slide forward” like one of the other reviews stated. I was debating on about 20 different chair options and am really glad I chose this one! If you know how to work a basic office chair, you know how to pull out or push in the lever to allow the back to recline and how to push the handle down to make the chair go down, or get off of the chair and do the same to make it go up. I think some of those more negative reviews were operator error.I love the chair. I’m glad I bought it. My husband, who also works from home, already wants to steal it and is planning to buy another one for his office space because I am not giving this one up!Buy the chair!

FINALLY
This is my 3rd try at a Big & Tall office chair. Finally, a chair that meets the posted product description. This chair has a big enough and comfortable seat, the chair can lock in an upright position, and I love that the armrests can be pushed back out of the way.
