I have 2 Dachshunds and we are in a place where there is no fence. I have always used the regular tie outs with the metal and plastic coating. I couldn't stand untangling them one more time, not to mention that they get kinked and the plastic coating starts to come off. I decided to give these a try and I am so happy I did. My furbabies have been using them for over 6 months and are much happier that they don't have to drag around a kinked metal lead anymore. I was a little worried at first because I had never used this type and I was worried it wouldn't hold them as well but after 6 months (winter, spring) there is no fraying at all. Quite pleased with the reassurance I once thought only the metal ones could give.

The ones I had before were the plastic covered metal tethers. They kept getting bent and started to break after a couple of months. These nylon braided ones are much more flexible and can easily be untangled without breakage.

My mom has a small Maltese and he barely used this much over a month and it broke tonight and he was running loose! Horrible product!

I have 2 small dogs a Cha and a Pom. in most pet stores they have tie outs for larger dogs and the clip is to large and it weighs down their neck or the chain or the cord is too heavy. These cords are light and the clips are smaller to fit a small collar. The dog has freedom of movement without the heavy drag of an oversized clip or chain. Works well light but strong. Great purchase!

Very flexible, just what I need for my 5 pound Yorker.

I purchased for my Dog that weights around 35-40 lbs. I was worried it wouldn't hold up to a dog his size but I has and continues to work great.

Rope a little thin I thought, but for a small dog, serves purpose.
