BodumChambord 4 Cup French Press Coffee Maker with Locking Lid Stainless Steel, 17-Ounce

I specifically bought this product as it was advertised as identical to one a friend has. As per the pictures and description it should have a cover over the spout (operated easily by thumb by the button at the top of the handle), and should be double glass lined. Should also have a screw on lid (you can see the grooves it screws into in the second picture).I’m not sending this back as it took so long to arrive and life is really too short, but I won’t be ordering from your amazon store again.

The gasket and press lever makes the difference. So far, only Bodum makes this.

Me encanta la marca Bodum porque sus productos son de calidad. Estaba buscando una prensa pequeña para el café que me preparo diariamente en la oficina. Si pongo la prensa completa, me preparo perfectamente 2 tazas de tamaño estándar. Me encantó que trae una tapa que mantiene un poco más que las de diseño normal, el café. Además su mecanismo para servir el café evita derrames al servir. La recomiendo mucho para los amantes de el café en prensa!Actualización 18/SEP/19: Cuando compré la prensa, la primera vez que la lavé pensé que venía pegada al armazón. Pensé que era muy raro porque Bodum se destaca por tener vasos de repuesto. Recientemente se me estrelló y se me ocurrió girar los tornillos y aflojaron el vaso. La sigo recomendando pero si ven que está súper atorado el vaso, sólo aflojen el armazón para que puedan sacar el vaso cada que lo laven y no se les estrelle como a mí. :/

Bought this French Press with High Hopes gave it was a 'Bodum' and given the 50$ price point. TERRIBLE quality of glass. The first one I ordered cracked within 2 weeks on it's own, the cracks started near the opening at the top and spread down the sides. Returned it, got a replacement at the end of Dec 2020, and this new one cracked today. SAME place and the same way. Think it's something to do with the size of the Press and the Heaviness vs the glass itself. Thought it was supposed to be 'unbreakable' with the heavy outer part. Trying to return to Bodum but the 'don't replace/cover glass' in replacements. Don't recommend this product, if it's only going to last a month, I'll buy a cheaper one.

Bought this item twice. Both times the glass cracked way too easily.Otherwise this would have been the best French press. The locking lid is great and the size was perfect for my use.
