InCharacter Costumes Women's Gothic Vampires

Great fitting and well made costume. I initially purchased the L, but it had a zipper and I couldn't zip it by myself so I couldn't tell how the fit was going to be. The arms were too small anyway so I sent it back for the XL. There are subtle differences in the two: the XL slips on and has no zipper. The sleeves of the L were made in sections so the stretch was restricted and the sleeves of the XL are one piece, normal sleeves and stretchy. The XL is a bit roomy on me but I can run a small seam and fix that. The laces in the front adjust the fit in the bodice. Mine are almost cinched together so not much of the red shows. Each had a separate petticoat that just slips on under the dress. The dress touches and even drags the the floor a bit like I want it to. Of the two, I prefer the one that just slips on. The dress feels like it will be comfortable wearing for the 8-9 hours I will have it on. It does not bind and has lots of give, especially in the sleeves. The velcro choker fits perfectly, not too small. Both were well packaged in a zipped clothes bag on a hanger. I am 5'6, 180 lbs, 36D, 32 waist, hourglass shape and normally wear a 10-12 if that helps you decide.

I searched for days to find a costume that was not slutty but authentic looking and then I came across this one. Not only to I not want to look like a slut for Halloween for personal reasons, but I also work at a school so things have to be appropriate that I wear. I am a very good sewer so most costumes look super cheap to me and are unwearable for my standards. When I ordered this, I was not expecting much since I have pretty high standards and although it is not super high quality it is the best costume I have ever purchased and there is no way I could make something similar for the price I paid. As far as sizing, I am 125 lbs slim, petite with a natural 34C bust and I ordered the large which fit really well. I usually have the same problem with clothes that are one piece like this in that since I have a larger chest but am so slim everywhere else things just don't fit right. The medium would honestly probably have fit me better if I was not busty and this thing was stretchy, but since it's not there is no way I could have gone the smaller size. Even now I can barely get this thing off and on over my boobs since there is zero stretch and no way to get it on except to put it over your head, it still looks pretty good on me size wise. For those of you that are concerned as I was about my boobs popping out of the top like the model on the picture, don't worry because unless you are wearing a push up bra, this won't be an issue. Overall, a great costume!!

I like this costume and a Medium fit me very well. I usually wear a size 8 in dresses/pants and am a 36C. There is a little give in the dress, so if you drift between anywhere between a 6 and 10, this will probably fit you fine. The petticoat that goes underneath is decent quality along with the costume. Not the best, but I wasn't expecting that. A way to jazz it up may be to replace the string that weaves through the front corset with a better quality ribbon. The string it comes with is a little cheap and if you don't knot it, can come undone. But, that's easily replaceable for little cost. Also, the costume comes in a nice zip-up plastic garment bag for storage. An added bonus.

The costume really looks in person the way it does in the product photo, which impressed me. It has a separate petticoat of net and lace (the latter peeks out from under the satin and velvet dress) which provides puffy flounce. I am 5'4" and 107 pounds, and it fit for my height (I wore moderate platform boots) but was slightly snug in the arms. I would have needed help zipping up the back if I hadn't attached a ribbon to the zipper to pull with (a lacy black one, so I could leave it on while wearing the costume). No problems with durability, despite stepping on the petticoat a couple times. And I got compliments! The costume comes in a decent garment bag with hanger--a nice plus, because I believe this costume will last through many seasons/Halloweens.

I love this costume! I read all the reviews and was not sure what size to get so i settled on an XL. I have lost over 200 lbs and have some skin left on my arms that usually makes long sleeves too tight. I'm 5'5" and weigh 190 lbs. I am a size 14 / 16 and have a 38DD chest. The XL dress is a big snug on the arms but it does stretch a bit so it worked out great. The funny part was the chest is a bit big in the upper chest / shoulder area. I plan on having it altered which will only take a few tucks on the side of the top, but the part I am most happy about is that it is not too low cut. I am wearing it at a work party and didn't want to be all "here is my chest"..it is perfect. You can adjust the ties to make the chest part tighter which is great and the back does have the same stretch as the arms so it is comfortable to move in. The slip underneath that has the lace petticoat thingy is a bit long, but it can easily be rolled at the waist or taken up for the length. It arrived the next day which was a shock too and it did come in a nice garment bag. The choker is kinda cheesy, but I already ordered a cooler one so no worries there. Totally worth the money.
