The teeth on this tool are wonderfully viscous, and the wood falls away quickly. The curved side, especially is great for making curves, swoops, and roundovers.Because of the weight, the teeth, and the length, it is my go to tool for initial shaping of curves.The surface it leaves is rough, so be prepared to go over the surface again with a finer rasp, or a scraper.Love this tool!

Because I make furniture out of crude local hardwoods, I use a wood rasp daily. The rasps in local island shops, if you can find one at all, are junk. I have tossed three of them in as many years. The Narex 12" is the best rasp I have bought in thirty years. Its sharp, does the job, and is ergonomically well-balanced. Surprisingly enough, kept in its cheap plastic bag outside by the sea, it hasn't rusted at all in the months I have had it. I love the wooden handle.

I have never used the $200 dollar rasps but this one sure is better than the other cheap ones on the market! Never been disappointed with Narex products so far and would buy this rasp again.

This is not my most expense rasp, I owe a hand stitched Fine, but it does the job equally well. I have a few Narex rasps,(rat tails fines) and they are good value. A huge improvement of the Big Box rasps.My current use is guitar necks.

They are PERFECT for little wood working around the house

There are other wood rasps that are out there that cost more. However I am very satisfied with this one. The rasp works every bit as good as it needs to, the handle came loose a couple of times but I epoxied it in and no more issues with that. i would recommend this wood rasp. .

So many products today are just not worth the stuff they were made of, THIS FILE IS WORTH EVERY DUCKET YOU HAVE TO PAY!!!Came in good condition and in a timely manner.
