Item may have been fine if that’s what I had ordered. I ordered what was described and pictured. Got something else. No quality control. Worst part is I had to repack and haul this big bulky item to a UPS store to return. Hopefully the replacement is correct…. We’ll see. Perils of not just going to the store. So much for convenience.

The company that makes Freedomrail used to make elfa before elfa started manufacturing their own units.Don't care for the new elfa as they thinned out their steel. Freedomrail is thicker, heavier steal and holds a bit more. Elfa has more accessories but freedomrail is better quality. Both brands are significantly better than anything from hardware stores like Rubbermaid.Organized Living's website has a nifty room planner to design your wall hanging system utilizing their rail system. And once you've finished a designed it can be sent to your cart for easy purchase.I would suggest waiting for their summer or winter holidays sale for the best deal. Even reg price is almost always cheaper than what Amazon has listed. Ace hardware can order their stuff but rarely has it in stock. Max warehouse also carries freedomrail but the inventory is inconsistent so they may not have everything you need but they have great bulk prices for the inventory they do carry.Older elfa parts are compatible with freedomrail as they have same track and upright design. The newer elfa brackets and accessories are compatible but the fit isn't as good and the spacing for baskets is different. Freedomrail shelves and baskets are narrower than elfas so in a vertical stack either use all elfa or all freedomrail since the uprights will need to be spaced differently. New elfa horizontal track is not compatible with freedomrail just the brackets and their accessories. Most double brackets with 1" spacing like John Sterling brackets should be compatible. Have not tried compatibility with hardware store brands as the quality was too flimsy for my needs.

Sorry I was tricked into buying this junk. Never again!
