This is made very well, is colorful and sturdy and super cute! My 5 year old granddaughter caught a butterfly she named “Cindy” and after a day and night she released it but was so adorable sweet to hear my granddaughter talk to “Cindy” and to watch her sprinkle water and provide full marigolds for her to eat. It was bittersweet letting her go but such a great experience for my granddaughter who felt like a little mama.

My 4 year old adores it! She carries it with her everywhere and it's a perfect size for her small hands to carry around. The opening and closing of the door is nice and sturdy and it makes it a breeze for me to help my daughter slip the butterflies gently inside. She's caught so many butterflies already and have put them in there. She loves looking at them and talking to them. So glad I got it for her.

The opening is kind of small for bug transfer. It works for smaller bugs, moths, caterpillars but would damage larger butterflies or dragonflys. Nice design and sturdy container.

Great thought out and well made item. My 5 yr old granddaughter loves it for catch and then releasing bugs, lizards etc. Not large enough for permanent housing, so emphasis on release once you enjoy the critter a bit. Door slides closed tight, so no risk of bugs in grandmas house. Nice and different gift- fill it with candy. Our grandkid carries it around like a purse with the strong attached handle.

Gave these to our granddaughters as a part of their Easter baskets. These little bug cages are very cute and look sturdy. The kids haven't played with them long enough to rate them for durability yet. Bright colors, easy for a 2 & 3 year old to carry and operate the sliding door on the cage. The bugs that Doug & Melissa sell, fit nicely through the cage door and are a good size and bright colors.

So cute, This is perfect for my 3 yr old daughter, shes rough on things and this is holding up great even with her dropping it multiple times! The sliding door is easy for her use as well. Definately a good purchase for the price
