I was looking for the perfect 2 pound ultralight trout set up this rod coupled with a 1000 Series spinning reel and 2 pound line is the most perfect Combination I've owned a lot of fishing rods this is been my absolute favourite For ultralight trout fishing you will not go wrong if you buy this rod it looks amazing I do not know How they even make it for the price I custom build fishing rods and I could not make this pole for less than I paid for it and it's put together beautifully very attractive the action is perfect super ultra light yet strong backbone I was able to land my personal best rainbow trout 7 pounds 11 oz 1st time I took it out I will buy moreSee my picture. So… I wanted something cheap, long and sensitive. This is it, the real clamp is cheap, but so is the cost… this rod really isn’t bad and I use it for bass, crappie and gills. It handles all three like a rod should, I snagged logs and was able to reel them in by holding the spool and pulling it in(I don’t recommend). But, the sensitivity is awesome and you can see the slightest bumps when jigging and it it’s balanced pretty well and light. I have it paired with a piscifun carbon X 1000 with 4lb trilene xl and it a killer combo.

Folks this is a product review update.Less than 48 hours after posting a negative review about this product, the manufacturer contacted me via email. Apologized for the defective rod and shipped me a new rod replacement. I just received the new rod and it is perfect.This is by far some of the best customer service I have ever received. Five Stars to these folks.

Rod snapped on first fish caught. Not worth the hassle of returning or getting another

I like the extra fast tip and solid blank construction I use this rod so much I literally forgot my 7'6" Shakespeare UL. I've been buying more chinese built UL rods as I like the action better than the big name rods (if I had St.Croix money I may not feel that way but I digress) and for the price could not be happier.

this is a 7ft. light action. just what I wanted for some small in-line spinners. looks to be quality materials. has a great feel. it is very light weight. so far I am very happy. can't wait to us it......

It broke the first small trout I caught

Good feel to the rod.. Extremly small eyelets.. Not sure how they will handle anything but a very small diameter line..
