PetArmor Antibacterial Antifungal Shampoo for Dogs and Cats, 8 oz

This shampoo worked on my pit with seasonal and food allergies. A year ago he had a bad breakout and lost a lot of hair, had oily patchy rashes all over. Took him to the vet and it was yeast and staph. She gave him antibiotics and recommended generic zyrtec but I had to do more than that to get him better. Changed his diet to grain free, no more table scraps, bathed him once a day for a couple weeks in this (let it set on skin for 10 min before rinsing) then cleaned his ears with the matching ear product to this, dried his ears. After a few weeks he looked better, after that I reduced the baths to once or twice a week. Now once every 2 weeks. I use this or blue dawn. He still breaks out occasionally if he gets in the garbage or something like that, he gets red and I can smell the yeasty fonk, but I am able to catch it early so it doesn't get out of hand, this and the ear cleaner helps.

I like this shampoo so much better than the one we got at our vet. It is much cheaper and it really works.No more hair loss and the dog is no longer constantly washing.This product does not have a harsh odor but instead a pleasant scent and lathers well.It is suggested that you leave it on 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off. We leave it on our dog for 10 minutes before rinsing and it keeps him calm and comfortable and completely itch free for 4 days straight.I am going to continue to use this until my dog's hair starts to grow back where he tore it out.Glad that we bought this because we also bought PetArmor's Antibacterial/Yeast spray and it wasn't near as effective as this shampoo.

Went back and forth after reading reviews between this and another antibacterial/antifungal shampoo for my puppy. Ultimately decided on this product due to ingredients and overall price. Great decision! I only ended up using this product 3 times before my puppies bacterial infection cleared up! It also has a pleasant smell and did not dry out my puppies skin. Would recommend...

This product is fantastic.My pitbull has suffered with TERRIBLE skin problems for more than half his life (tried every thing under the sun from the vet to help him) Normally he has yeasty, hot red, itchy, irratated dry flaky skin that bleeeeeeds and bleeds and bleeds. (Allergies and genetics are the root)This, after 2 washes, dramatically changed him. He used to smell from yeast, not anymore!No flaky skin anymore it's 99% better.His hot spots have mostly disappeared so no more bleeding.I would have given this 5 stars, but after the 3-4 wash, his feet started getting a little irratated almost burned it seemed..Other than that, BUY THIS PRODUCT! You will not be disappointed.

While it may function well as an antimicrobial shampoo, I found it to bee very thin/watery. If you have a small/medium short hair dog the 8 oz may go further than on a long hair dog. I bathed one American Cocker Spaniel with a longish coat and it consumed nearly the whole bottle to get him lathered up and through the hair to his skin (and I focus closely on pads of feet and inbetween toes because of the fur picking up and holding microbes). I went this route for cost because I have 4 of them to bath monthly and thought this would be more cost effective.. I used Zymox for years but the cost had increased. I'll be going back to the Zymox antibacterial/antifungal. Even though the price of it has risen to 20.00-25.00+ per 12 oz bottle I can get just shy of all four dogs done with it.

With the wide spread occurrence of allergies this year everyone is searching for a way to help their dogs. Upon the advice of my vet I purchased an antibacterial, antifungal shampoo; he recommended a shampoo with keratin. After just 3 treatments the improvement is amazing. My dog was not suffering from itching but had sores, bumps, peeling skin and a brownish residue on her chest and stomach. It is now 85% gone. I am sure a couple of more shampoos will completely resolve the issue.Thru the years I have had several dogs that struggled with allergies. Even took one to a dermatologist, no one ever recommended keratin. Their treatments included medications, oatmeal soaks and topical treatment. The antibacterial anti fungal shampoo is by far the best treatment with immediate improvement.This works! Very pleased!

This stuff has been a life saver. I have a Labrador retriever with allergies. He licks, licks and licks some more. I really feel like this shampoo sort of coats his skin and protects it! It takes out that weird smell they get when they get allergies and makes them feel super soft. Leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes and then rinse. Wash as frequently as all the other reviews have suggested for best results. This stuff really has helped my dog a WHOLE lot!! His hair finally grew back. Good luck!

Success! Allergies and licking under control after using the PetArmor Antibacterial Antifungal Shampoo. Our dog's skin seems less of a bother to her now that we are using this shampoo and she is scratching much less so we won't see those dreaded hot spots anymore. It has a pleasant scent and lathered nicely too. A little went a long way and this is definitely less than at the vet's so it is a good value all around. So glad I found this shampoo.
