Worst ever device
This thing is horrible ! Total waste of my money. Lever so hard you have to have something to release it. Then the rod simply cores out vege so it does not turn at all !!

No Stars is More Accurate
I cannot recommend this product. I wanted to love it, but it's awful. If you can get your zucchini on the contraption without cutting yourself you have about a 10% chance of getting a flat cut sheet like advertised. Save your money

Great Little Spiraler
I originally decided to get a vegetable spiral slicer because I was wanting to get more vegetables in my diet, and I enjoy coming up with creative ways to eat foods that are not necessarliy my favorite. I am glad I did! This particular spiraler comes with comes with a ceramic peeler, a cleaning brush and the spiraler itself. It seems to be very well made, and is of a nice, compact size which I love since I have a small kitchen. As others have mentioned, when the veggie spiraler first arrived, I was a bit surprised to not find any instructions. Sure, you can figure it out, but for someone who'd never used one before, it took a bit of finagling! In fact, I have to admit that it took several tries before I finally got the hang of it. However, once I did, it was easy as pie to use. It works wonderfully, especially since the blades are VERY sharp. Don't worry though, there are two side pieces that fit on the spiraler to protect your hands while you use it, but you definitely need to be careful when assembling and washing. For those who have also never used a spiraler, you basically use the same motion as you would using a manual pencil sharpener. Make sure you wash the veggies first, then simply put them inside the spiralizer and start turning it. Once the veggie gets too small for you to hold in your hands, you can use the little cap thing that came with it to help push the remaining vegetable down into the spiraler. I personally found the cap to be a bit awkward, so I used a fork instead. You really will love how quick and easy this is to use once you get the hang of it! And the veggies really do look nice and appetizing. There is so much you can do with this - I cannot wait to make more!As far as cleaning - be careful. I do not know whether or not it is dishwasher safe, but it does come with this small brush you can use to help clean the blades and it works well.I alos really like the hand held peeler that comes with this spiraler! It is very comfortable to hold (unlike those metal ones with the thin, flat handles), and it literally peels veggies and fruits into the thinnest shavings I've been able to get using one of these. Peeling is quick and smooth, and I love how nothing ever seemed to get stuck into between the blades. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. I am definietly looking foward to getting more creative, adn try out all sorts of different recipes.Although I received a discount in exchange for my honest review, this does not in any way effect my opinon. All opinions are my own.

My son finally ate his zucchini!
UPDATE 7-2-16: I changed this from 4 stars to 3 now because I have noticed that food gets stuck in the crevices where the blades are attached and it's nearly impossible to get it all out sometimes.Original review:Everyone in my family except my teenage son loves zucchini cooked almost any way you can imagine. My son is not a very picky eater, but after tasting it cooked several ways, he refused to eat zucchini until yesterday. I really was just thinking it would be great to try one of those new recipes someone shared on facebook, the zucchini alfredo - like fettuccine alfredo - because my mother-in-law is diabetic and we are always looking for low-carb alternatives. She and my daughter both had birthdays this past week, and my daughter loves anything with alfredo sauce, and then yesterday was Mother’s Day, so I decided to cook that for a family dinner. I cooked regular pasta also because I thought my son would not like the zucchini noodles, but to my surprise he actually tried them and liked them enough to eat a good size serving! The Vasta Pro vegetable spiral slicer did a fairly good job of turning the zucchini into long noodle-shape thin slices. For some reason I couldn’t get it to make them all the same. It started out with nice-looking long strips that were a little bit thick, but after several turns the strips got really thin and broke off into shorter pieces. I guess maybe there’s a learning curve or something. I’m curious to see how well it does with carrots and other veggies.I wish there was a way to continue feeding and turning the zucchini or whatever vegetable all the way down to the end. For each one I was left with about an inch or more of zucchini that I couldn’t keep going with, but I’m still happy with the results overall. The ceramic peeler worked well. I quickly and easily peeled a cucumber with it today, which is the main thing I use a peeler for.I was given the opportunity to purchase the Vasta Pro Vegetable Spiral Slicer Bundle at a discount rate with the understanding that I would write a review after testing it out. Everything I've written is my own opinion based on the quality and performance of the product. Feel free to ask me any questions about my review or the product.
