This package does not have what I need to fix either jacket. For the life of me I can't understand why the product listing doesn't show clearly what is included in the package. For anyone thinking of ordering this, it contains the following:- 3 x 2.5 mm nylon coil sliders- 3 x 4.5 mm Metal tooth sliders- 3 x 5 mm Metal tooth sliders (Talon/C&C zippers)- 3 x 5 mm Metal tooth sliders (YKK zippers)- 6 x 5 mm Bottom stops- 4 x 5 mm Top stopsIn my case I needed a 5 mm slider for a nylon coil zipper (not metal teeth). I quickly discovered that a 5 mm metal tooth slider will not work on a 5 mm nylon coil zipper. The other jacket I needed repaired has a metal tooth zipper but requires a larger than 5 mm slider, which this package does not have.Since I've opened the package I am not sure if I can return this, so I think I just made a $9 mistake in ordering this. Hopefully the above information will help others avoid the same mistake. If you do require one of the above sizes, the zippers are all metal and appear to be of decent quality. Unfortunately I was not able to use any of them for my repairs.

I was happy to find out about this little kit to fix zippers. I never knew they made these type kits.

This kit contains almost anything you need to repair a zipper. I sew almost every day and yet I do Not enjoy replacing a zipper. It takes a long time to remove a zipper and you have to be so careful not to damage the material in the process, then sewing the zipper in can be a real pain. This kit can save a lot of time and frustration. Unfortunately it did not do the job for me as the zipper I needed to repair was X-large in a Men's jacket ( that's why only 4 stars). The purchase was fast with very speedy delivery. I am sure to use these parts in the future so it was not a wasted purchase.

Shipped as expected and was easy to use... The only downside was that the jacket I was fixing had its zippers inside out, so I had to use the double-sided tent zipper. This shouldn't have been a problem, but it didn't quite fit the jacket, so when I pulled the first zipper too hard, the metal hook that allows a zipper pull to be attached, snapped. Somewhat cheaply made. The second zipper I tried did all right, but I am not sure it will hold as well as I would like. Still, pretty good product for the price. Definitely found my size in the assortment.

I used one of the zipper replacements for a jacket, and it was sturdy and worked great. I've been wearing that jacket and washing and drying it for months now. One thing I didn't realize was that these metal zippers would clang loudly against my jacket. My original zipper had a rubber enclosure which didn't make a sound when I walked.

Had a nice leather jacket which was in good condition except for a zipper that wouldn't stay zipped. The teeth below the zipper would come apart. Cost for replacing the whole zipper would have been cost-prohibitive - BUT replacing just the worn-out slider was a piece of cake! Popped off the old top stop, slid on the new slider and replaced the top stop with one of the several included in this kit and it's as good as new! Literally took just 5 mins - start to finish. As a bonus, the slider even matches the original. Very pleased - highly recommend trying this repair kit for any zipper with worn slider with teeth that are not otherwise damaged. 5 stars!!

This item was perfect. I was able to repair 1 jacket and 1 sweater. Easy to use, I did not follow their directions because I did not want to cut or resew anything on the jackets. Instead I removed the top lock clamp on the upper part of one side of the zipper that has the bottom mechanism (not the side that inserts into the zipper) once that was done I opened the bottom of the zipper with pliers enough to insert into the zipper side and slide it down then I clamped off the top with the lock clamp in the kit and made sure zipper worked. These seemed better than the previous regular sipper repair kit and a lot more sturdy for our clothes.

Not sure who made these zippers, but at least for #5 zippers, the package description implies that they are made by YKK. No marking on the zipper sliders though. The quality of zippers is ok - significantly lighter than my broken slider (#5 IDEAL), so I am little concerned about durability. It came with instructions, was easy to use, and great value for the cost. I fixed an expensive winter coat zipper in 5 minutes.

I thought there would be a big one that would suit a plastic greenhouse door but they wee to small

I found it very easy to find the right size that i needed in the pack (it includes several sizes) I literally slid it onto the zipper and replaced the stop (at the top) and it was fixed.

Quick & easy fix to solve the problem when old carriage broke. Instructions of how to fit were a little vague! Cheaper option than having to replace the complete zipper or a new coat!
