It comes with safety grill, lid and 6 lbs of wax. When you go to site to register your unit, they have an offer to send you free liners. I bought the same brand liners box of 100 and same brand insulated booties and they work great. Dip as many layers as you need, put on liner and then bootie for an extendended thermotherapy. The wax peels right off the plastic liner and foot so no waste.

For Hands, Feet, Face and Body since 1962 Hospital grade paraffin warmer with lid, grille, and paraffin therapy guide. DOES NOT CONTAIN PARAFFIN. Unit dimensions are: inside - 12.9" L x 6.75" W x 5" D(32.8 x 17.2 x 12.7 cm; outside - 14.25" L x 8.5" W x 7.75" D(36.2 x 21.6 x 19.7 cm).

Q: Do I need to purchase the bags for the hands and feet? Also is it important to get the hand and foot mitts? thks Marilyn

It does not come with the bags for your hands and feet. I guess technically you do not need the mitts, but they will keep your hands warmer for longer and be much more effective.

Q: How long does it take for the wax to melt?

It takes 6 to 8 hours. I just keep it plugged-in so it is ready 24/7 to help with my chronic pain.
