For removing trim around windows, this is the perfect tool
We live in far North Illinois. Winter here is very cold and the wind always seems to be blowing. Our house has some windows on the West side of the house that have cold air coming around the trim when the wind blows. We thought it would be a good idea to remove the trim and see if there was insulation around the windows and plug any holes that were letting the cold air in. I didn't have any tool that would pry the trim off without damaging the walls around the trim, so I looked for a tool on Amazon and this one is the one I picked because it was inexpensive and looked like it would do the trick. This was definitely the right tool. The business end of this tool is very thin and made it easy to slip under the edge of the trim and start prying it off. Once you get the trim started off the wall, you can easily move the tool down the trim and do some more so that you get a little at a time until the whole piece is off. You don't want to pull it off all the way on one end, because it is likely to snap the trim. So, you work a little at a time up and down until it pops off the wall. The slit in the end of this tool works great for removing any nails that remained behind on the wall. This tool made quick work of removing the trim around our windows and removing leftover nails on the wall. We found spaces where there was little or no insulation in spots around the window so we used spray insulating foam in those spots, let it dry, and then I used a brad nailer to put the trim back on around the windows. This tool is not real heavy but made from quality materials that seem like they will last a lifetime. The handle is comfortable and easy to hold. So, I am very happy with this tool. It does a great job as advertised.

Very thin foot! Great ergonomic handle ! Works as great prybar!
Second purchase, gave first one away. Very handy tool to have around the house. Not just for moldings. Works as great Thin "pry-bar"..... Recently, I had to take the front panel off of an air conditioner and the clips were holding it too tight. I couldn't take it off without having something to wedge between the front cover and the unit itself. This worked perfectly. That was a small air conditioner in the back room. I recently had ductless A/C installed And offered this to the installers To help them do the same thing with the single unit they installed. Laughing, he slipped it in his tool belt and we laughed! My new one comes tomorrow....

Great tool for removing moulding
I needed to remove some solid wood trim pieces from my motorhome to do a repair. I didn't want to chance marring the wood trim with a regular pry bar. This worked great and left no marks on the trim.

Works well, thin steel needed for trim will not let you pry too hard.
Worked well for 5 years and broke it using it to remove stair edging, which was no surprise. I'm ordering another one, it works great on trim.

My new favorite, fine edge and great versatility.
The edge is very thin but stiff, great for removing trim but stout enough for many larger jobs. The shape is great for levering open painted shut windows, too. Most trim bars are not fun for me; flat, hard to lever, and not versatile. This pry bar is stiff, takes a lot of pressure and is good tempered steel. Made in China, not my preference, but I've not found a domestic product to compete with it. Good value except the country of origin. This is the 2nd one I own, the first went home with my father, a cabinet maker, by 'accident'...

Buy this super prybar!
This is one of the best tools anyone can have in their toolbox. It's thin, tough, and will be your best friend when you're prying trim away from a panel. After much abuse, like repeatedly beating it with a hammer, I decided to get a brand spanking new one for those special trim removal jobs, but my old one, beat up as it is from hammering against solid things like nails, is far from being retired. Nope, it's still, and will continue to be, my go-to tool. I'll only use the new one for special jobs where I'm being ultra careful not to mar either the trim or the panel. If you don't already have one of these ultra thin, super strong pry bars, you need to buy two or three of them right now. If you are already familiar with this superior (and cheap!) tool, go buy another so you always have one in pristine condition for those extra special jobs where you have to be extra careful. You will not be disappointed!.

Works great.
I bought it to take a 60 year old door apart and it worked flawlessly. No damage to the wood and had great leverage. I have already found a couple of other uses for it and I think it will become a favorite tool for remodeling and repair jobs.
