I have this bag on my BMW R100RS airhead. I tried several Chase Harper bags, including the 1602M and the 1700M (I was determined to find the right one) and this is the one that fits the contour of the tank best - both fore and aft and side to side. I like the size and shape of the bag - it fits the tank quite well without covering the filler cap (don't want to plug the vents) and without interfering with my knees or the bars. For me, it's a good height: it allows me to get down in the crouch but still holds enough to be quite useful. If you had a more upright setup (the R100RT for example) and wanted more storage, you might like the taller 650M, which seems to have the same footprint.The quality of the bag is superb - strong stitching, thoughtful placements of pockets, and very strong magnets. I use the stem strap for an extra level of safety. I also have to admit that the fact that it's made in the USA made me feel good about spending a few extra dollars on this bag.

The bag mounted real simple the keeper strap around the steering head was a nice touch. The bag is well laid out easy to get into and use. The map pocket that can be removed in 1 min is a nice touch. The junk that was in pockets . Now in Bag plus a little extra room.

Love this bag , worth every cent..

Magnets are pretty strong.Space is enogh for what I need. Bigger will looks odd in a Versys 300

I was really excited about the bag when I got. The magnetic feature was one of the best I have had, unfortunately the main zipper started failing about 3 months into having the bag. I contacted Chase Harper and they were very responsive in ensuring that the issue was addressed. Although I only get 50% of the replacement bag, they are looking into the failure of the zipper.
