Q: Does this work in a thick straight hair as well?

Yes! I've recently cut my hair so it's not as long. But my hair is really thick & I've used this with long & now chin length hair. I do use a bit of the R+Co Jackpot, followed by this mousse, and LOVE the texture it provides to my otherwise super-straight hair.

Q: I just received this product and can not pump it. How do you open the nozzle? This looks different from the one I have

Yes it is slightly different and a little more difficult in my opinion. Shake it / place your index on the shorter edge ( not where the mousse comes out) press and the mousse come out. I actually do I TV with the container upside down.

Q: Does this mousse have silicones in it?

Do not see silicone in ingredients.

Q: does it weigh down hair?

No. I have thick hair. I've been using this product for over 10 yrs & love it.
