Lily the Unicorn Hardcover – April 22, 2014

Such a cute book. One of our favorites. You can't read it without giggling.

I just bought this book for my nine month old daughter solely because her name is Lily. I was pleasantly surprised when we sat down to read the book and was greeted with an explosion of color on each page and a wonderful message about trying new things and not being afraid to fail. As a teacher I am all about promoting a growth mindset in my students, and I will definitely be reading this book to my class. It's a pretty short book if you only read the main story, but there are tons of smaller illustrations and captions on each page that can be used as conversation starters and are great for beginner readers. This is easily my (and my daughter's) favorite new book!

A very cute book.The story is about a unicorn that first talks about all the things she likes to do then talks about her friend a penguin and how something is wrong with him because he doesn't go out much and he doesn't like to do anything so she tries her best to change him before finally asking what's wrong when he says basically he has severe anxiety and is scared of failure and trying anything but she assures him he can always get back up if he falls and that she is hos friend so she will help him.

My three year old daughter loves this book - simple but fun, and lots of details so it can be read quickly with the base story or elaborately and going into all the details. I like it okay, but as far as my daughter is concerned it's a standout amongst her books - enough so I'm here to seek out additional titles by this author!

This book brings me back to my most innocent, childlike self every time I read it. I love the illustration and the powerful story of Lilly deciding to bring everyone into the beautiful world she sees.

Who knew Amazon would have the perfect birthday present for a little girl named Lily who just loves Unicorns!! This was a knock it out of the park present!!!!

My 6 year old daughter likes this book as much as I like reading it to her. There is a great moral to the story, and the illustrations are fun. My only conplaint is that the story isn't very long.
