blanc et noir: Takeshi Obata Illustrations Product Bundle – May 3, 2016

The book and posters were better than expected. This is a great item if you are a big fan of the manga and specially the art style. It's a gift to the eyes. The reason I rate at a 4 is that it being a great piece you want the item to be pristine for the cost. Unfortunately my first order had a dent on the side which would not have been an issue but then I saw the posters were damaged as well. I got a replacement which due to packaging also came with a dent on the box. The posters were still in great shape which is why I kept it. Stay cautious if ordering online because if you want a pristine book packaging needs to be reinforced in order to keep the book intact. This book unfortunately had a bit of damage. :(

Amazing, I love it so much. highly recommend.Now for me to ramble a bit:I came across Takeshi Obata's works from the Death Note Series and decided to buy this the other day. I am obsessed with art and draw a bit myself, so just looking at the posters included, even just glancing at the shelf I placed the book on, inspires me to draw and lifts my mood instantly. It is so visually beautiful, inspiring, and just so worth the money. It's a little on the pricy side for me, but the large size of the book, the included posters, and amazing content makes it so worth the price so I HIGHLY recommend it. Best purchase I've made, but then again I may be biased as a very big fan of Takeshi Obata and Death Note (obviously not everything in the book is Death Note related, but even that stuff fascinates me :))One last thing, the back of the book is amazing too! The 'How to Draw' section includes an interview with the artist and other cool stuff, and at the very end are some comments he has about the artworks included in the book.Overall, very cool stuff!

This is absolutely stunning and is completely worth it! It is now the most beautiful illustration book I own.

I’ve recently started collecting anime art books and this is easily one of the best I’ve come across. It’s massive in terms of both size and content, illustrations are displayed in creative ways (fold out pages, transparent pages, etc.), the book itself feels high quality, and the illustrations are simply beautiful. If you’re on the fence about getting this, it is most definitely worth it.

Beautiful, glossy art collection by Takeshi Obata artist of Death Note. Over sized collection goes on my artbook/gallery edition shelf along with Lone Wolf & Cub Gallery and the latest 21" Marvel supersized like Behold Galactus (see pics for size comparisons). We get a very interesting cover, you can place various included plates of illustrations into the front fold of the book to display like an odd vignette, have not seen anything like it (see pics). The construction of the book is solid and the paper is high quality stock, there are different kinds of paper in it to, from matte to glossy and gauzy opaque. The art of course is wonderful, I arrived at it via Death Note, but there are characters from his other series here too. A nice edition to the Death Note completist's collection. Recommended. (j4.)

This book is so big and every picture is beautiful. It’s definitely worth the money.

Desafortunadamente es un regalo y no puedo abrirlo, pero es mucho más grande de lo que esperaba (39x27 cm) la impresión luce impecable y los materiales se ven de excelente calidad. Posee un precio fijo y por ello me parece una buena oferta la que está aquí en Amazon. Lo recomiendo mucho a quienes disfruten del arte de la ilustración.

favorite artist, 100 was worth it to me, book is pretty big, took me atleast 30 min to go thru it.

Highly recommend this book!It has very beautiful illustrations (can't get over the Mello ones) and is a great asset for anyone who is an illustrator or animator provoding a great source of inspiration for any artist.Sadly though the side of the book is slightly dent as shown in the pictures, most of the damage being the side cover, the posters made it just fine except the main one having a tiny fold which is barely noticeable unless you look really close. Overall I'm happy but as a perfectionist it did not come in pristine condition as promised, I'm not surprised though considering the fact that it had only arrived in a box with a thick sheet of paper and no bubble wrap or any sort of protection to prevent the book from moving around in the box.

Awesome artbook! One of the best in my collection, and artbooks in general. For fans of the Death Note series, it's just a treasure. The print and paper quality is great.Many thanks to the seller! The goods arrived quickly enough and in excellent condition.

The book didn't disappoint. There were 5 double sided illustrations inside along with 5 double sized posters within the slip case. The paper was of excellent quality - it felt a premium weight. There was technical end-pieces that were insightful and the whole package felt of high quality.

So many beautiful artworks and wonderfully designed.
