Quilling Comb

I was very excited to try this product. I have used regular hair combs for quilling and wanted to see if a "special" comb made specifically for quilling was worth the money. I am happy to report that it is indeed! The combs teeth are conveniently numbered on the handle so it is much easier to remember your starting/finishing point when making several of the same size leaves. I also like the metal teeth on this comb it is easier to work with than plastic; the plastic teeth have a tendency to compress easily. This can ruin the leaf's overall look because it changes the spacing between each loop. This comb's teeth do not compress. They are nicely spaced as well, making sliding a strip of paper between them a breeze.It came nicely packaged in a box with a few other items that I had purchased. Everything was in perfect condition. This is a Prime product for me so delivery was free and I had it in hand within 2 days. I'm really glad I decided to try it out and I highly recommend this product. This is the 3rd or 4th quilling tool that I have bought from this company and they are all high quality and very handy. If you're on the fence about this comb go ahead and leap. You won't regret it.

I teach quilling, so have ordered several dozen of these for my students. Delivery has been prompt and accurate. This type of comb is essential for making "wheat ears" and similar looped designs without having to use pins in a board. My only complaint concerns the numbering. On my older version of this comb, the numbering goes from 1 at the bottom (where the "Q" is ) to 15 at the top. In the version now being sold, the numbering has been reversed. The old numbering was more intuitive, since loop #1 for a wheat ear would typically start on the tine next to the "Q". This is a minor point, though. Otherwise a good product.

I have only just learned how to quill and I am tickled pink about this wonderful craft. It's really easy to learn and the cost for the equipment isn't bad at all. In fact, I am putting an order together so my sister will have all the tools and gadgets I have. She works with children at school and they are always doing crafty things. I'm so glad to have a hobby she can share with me as she doesn't knit or crochet like I do.I especially like the kits which come with the patterns and the papers needed for all the projects listed in each kit. I think I haveabout 10 kits now and I also found a bunch of patterns on the internet. This particular tool makes really nice big loops and just adds to the things you can make.

I'm still learning all the different patterns that one can use this tool for. But, I am having a lot of fun making new combed quilling shapes and "petals" with this tool. I like that the teeth are numbered, for easy consistency between like shapes/petals. The length is quite nice for keeping multiple shapes/petals on the comb to reference for the next shape/petal.This is definitely not a necessity, as one could take the time to set pins in a cork board and do the same thing...but I don't have time for that, and it's not always consistent from one day to the next, and the pins don't always stay where they are supposed to. So, I really like this comb for the convenience, consistency, and ease of use.

Exactly what I needed

Although I had used an onion holder to start with , it was a bit to get used to this comb --- but all in all, I like it and especially the way the prongs are numbered --- that was a bonus --- a good buy

A quilters must have to making so many things. I have only been quilling for a few months and I left this on a trip a few months ago. I thought I could live without it, but no I need it. This quilling strip comb is amazing. I'm new to the craft, and have spent hours painstakingly created loops that would have taken a fraction of the time had I known about this tool. As soon as it arrived I cracked open the package and in moments had a perfectly spaced set of loops in a beautiful organic shape. Love it! Fun and simple to use, I heartily recommend it. If anyone has an old fashioned hair pick hidden in a drawer somewhere it might be worthwhile pulling it out to use for quilling - I'm going to be hunting for them so I can have a selection of different sized loop-making tools.

If you're looking for a quilling comb but are put off by the fact that this one is shipped from the USA, worry ye not. I ordered one and expected to wait for weeks for delivery because it was coming from the USA and there was no charge for postage. How wrong was I! The comb arrived within one week and it's exceeded my expectations. A good comb and a must for all dedicated quillers.

Very useful little device for quilling. If only one could take these on planes :( Simple and compact. Quilling creations makes nice tools.
