Delivery took some time but the volume was worth waiting for. It is attractively bound and the translations are, as a Guardian review (14 May 2016) noted, accessible to readers unfamiliar with Baudelaire's poetry or the French language. It is a bilingual addition, which serves as a useful reference point to English-speaking readers and, to those who deal solely in the English language and that language's literatures, that there is a rich literary world beyond the Anglosphere that can help to place Anglophone literatures in a broader context and to overcome the assumption that the Anglophone literary system is somehow self-sufficient.

It arrived on time and it was in great condition. It's great to have the French and English versions right next to each other.
