Most zabutons aren't particularly thick or cushy. This one is maybe slightly thicker than what I usually see, but not by much, and the material is dense enough that I don't bounce around or lose balance. Seems like a quality cushion, if a bit pricey.

It’s compact, but still wide enough. Reasonably comfortable. But it would be overly expensive at half the price.

I got a zafu and it helped my posture a lot, figured I'd get one of these to complete it. I wasn't sure if I needed it necessarily but as a white guy who's not used to sitting on the floor a lot.... Yes. Yes I did need it! My only complaint might be that maybe a little overpriced? But it will certainly last a long time unless I find a way to ruin it.

I was so happy to have found a U.S. made product for improving my meditation experience and I’m very happy with this zabuton. (My zafu is on the way!) I was a bit worried by some of the negative reviews here but I can’t relate to the issues mentioned. Mine came dry, clean, free of any odor, and indeed the right size for the sleeve.As for the details, the first thing I noticed was the weight and sturdiness of the mat. It feels heavy and solid in ways that I didn’t expect, so hopefully it’ll hold up over time.I also had a look inside at the cotton. It’s quite interesting as I’ve never seen cotton quite so… rustic before. Makes me feel a bit more “down to earth” when I sit on it, man.As for the size, I purchased the large size and I’m 6’3 and I’m happy to say that it feels just about right. When I sit in a Burmese posture my knees hang over the side just about an inch on each side, so it’s definitely a “snug” fit, but they’re definitely a few inches off the floor and so the mat is definitely effective.It’s also very comfy and my foot didn’t fall asleep in the Burmese posture either, which was the main reason I wanted a zabuton, so that’s excellent news!The only thing I envision having to worry about is my dogs trying to steal it in case I forget to put it away…

I ordered this product to be used for meditation. The item is exactly as advertised: 2” thick and 24” X 24”. The color of the cover is as pictured. I just opened the package and put the cover on, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but it appears to be well made; all seams are well-sewn. We’ll have to see how well it stands up to frequent use, but I imagine it will, based on the quality I see in the product.Be cautioned: even though the cushion measures out to the advertised dimensions, it is small. It appears to be adequate for my space and needs, but this is probably best for a small person, or as a travel zabuton. I do wish it were thicker, but, as I said, it seems adequate for my needs. I rated it a 4 for that reason.Shipping was prompt and uneventful; item arrived in great shape, folded, packaged in plastic, with a nice note from the company included. Knowing what this product is, I would recommend it to a friend with the caution that it is of smaller size. I would buy it again, if I needed one this size.Thanks, Bean!

This product is good, the smaller pad is fairly large which was a nice surprise.Only hand wash the cover. The cover will shrink in the wash. I’ve never seen something shrink so much. If the cover was pre-shrunk this product would be 5*Now I’m stuck with a smaller zabuton that doesn’t fit my feet

I have had several over time and I was careful to read about this zabuton product and read the reviews. Fast delivery and I thought it was an exceptional quality product. I purchased the large version and it was thick and comfortable along with being very well made. The cover was also of a heavy weight material that should last a long time. Very pleased so far with this item and the quick shipment!

Not too fluffy. Not too hard. The perfect level of support that I’m used to practicing on. Shipped well and easy to setup. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought the aqua zafu and mat, because I needed something a bit larger. Not only is the zafu incredibly comfortable (not overstuffed, but not under-stuffed, either), but the color is exquisite (the photo doesn't quite do it justice--it's a really vibrant turquoise). I'm 5'10" and 52, and I found the XL a perfect height with great support. I'd wanted to buy locally, but the zafus are relatively small (12") and twice as expensive as this one.

Lovely mat, perfect size and weight, beautiful fabric, a joy to use. Also free of chemicals, and fragrance free, excellent.
