I bought this muffler to replace a flow master 40 series. The flow master 40 series is a great muffler but the only thing wrong with it for me was it made muffled sound at crusing speed on the freeway. It sounds great on acceleration but not at crusing speed. So I bought this borla muffler. Its not throaty as the flow master but you dont get that vibration in the cab like the flow master and it is just and little louder than stock and smooth you can feel the increase in pedal response. I put this muffler on a 2013 Chevy Silverado 4x4 crew cab 5.3 engine. If you like vibration and loud go with the flow master. If you want smooth and closer to stock sound go with this borla. I am not knocking Flow master cause they make a great product it is just a matter of preference.

Not the sound I was hoping for out of a Borla muffler. 2008 Dodge ram with a 5.7 hemi, stainless long tube headers, cat replacements, 3" tube to 6" tip on stock location. It's VERY tame at idle to 1500 RPM, VERY loud (kind of glasspack/Turbo muffler sounding) from 1600-2300 RPM's and then tame again from 2300 to redline. Was hoping for a more raspy sound but something that was equally loud throughout the RPM range.

Great sound comes from this muffler my truck hauls ass now no hesitation or flat spot before it goes,it allows my k&N intake some where for the air to go im very happy thw sound is a quiet growel bit when you get in it wow!!!

Sounds really good on a Nissan Titan with headers with an oversized y-pipe.

Sounds awesome. No drone and not to loud.
