Perfect
Fits perfectly inside an Ikea support beam. My beam was sagging so the slats would fall sometimes. I was concerned that this wouldn't work since it is made to screw into a wood beam but it slipped right into the metal support and adjusted low enough to fit. It's perfect and much easier/cheaper than replacing the frame!

Worked great for me
I have memory foam mattress that sits on a thin wooden platform board. If you have one of these, you know what I mean. The mattress and the board sit on wood slats for the bed. The slats began to sag under the weight. I tried using a block of wood standing on its end as support but it kept slipping. This metal support solved the problem. However, you might need three of them to really do the job right. I used one of these in the center and then cut a table leg to size for the other slats on the ends....I was being cheap. The wood legs worked, but more effort than it was worth. I wish I had just bought three of these things

Seems like it'd be ok...
The installation was fairly easy. Only thing is it was a bit too tall to fit under my bed even at the lowest it would go. So now I have to get blocks also to keep my bedframe from rocking. Also, I don't like the plastic disc at the bottom. It should have been flat not roundedUPDATE: I removed the plastic pieces with a razor now the fit is perfect and my bed is sturdy and stable!๐

WAY Sturdier Than They Appear in the Photos
I purchased a queensize bed from a lady, and when I was setting it up I found that she did not have the center support legs that were supposed to screw into the slats. Luckily Amazon had several options for an item that I had not idea existed before this experience. I was concerned about purchasing these because the photos seem to make them look spindly and fragile. When they arrived I was quite relieved to find they were substantial. They were easy to install. We just marked around them onto the board, including the screw holes, and drilled some pilot holes - quick and easy.Make sure you measure the distance from the floor to the frame/slat before ordering - and then order the correct size. I don't suggest ordering a smaller size so that you will have to extend it as far as possible. That will just be asking for trouble.I like that the foot or bottom has a plastic glider to prevent damage to flooring. So far these are doing a great job!

Better design needed
Because of its claim of extending, the two parts that connected was right in the middle of the 10 1/4 โ height I needed, therefore the entire unit length became โunstableโ to properly install.
