Thick book with lots of pieces.Love it coming with Chopin introduction.

Habe die Noten auf Wunsch meiner Tochter bestellt. Sie sind gut angekommen und ich habe sie nach Einpacken in Geschenkpapier meiner Tochter zugeschickt. Alles bestens. Sie spielt ab und zu Chopin. Ich kann dazu nichts sagen, da sie 200 km entfernt wohnt. Auch bin ich kein Experte für Musik von Chopin. Ich glaube nicht, daß sich meine Einlassung als Rezension eignet.Beste GrüßeGünter Heil

Its exactly like the description says. Some of the scans are old copies, so naturally it is a little blurry. Its not the easiest to flip through when actually playing to the music because it is not spiral-bound. But what do you expect when you put 98 selections in the same book? I can get it to stay on the page I want by opening the book cover-to-cover and creasing it. I've been teaching myself piano for a few years now, so there's a high probability I won't be able to play 90% of this music for a long, long time. But the selections I can play (Preludes no.6,7,15,20, maybe some nocturnes), it works just great. Basically, you get what you pay for. A bargain for the amount of music, but not the most reader-friendly.P.S. It has a nice history and origins section at the beginning...if you care about that stuff.

Overall, this is a well-made edition; there's a lot of music for the price and it is (for the most part) readable. However, I noticed a few inaccuracies in the first ballade. Since the music comes from multiple sources, it is impossible to tell whether this is a persistent issue with the entire book or if it's just the ballade; for example, I'm also trying to learn Etude op.12 no. 10 and that one doesn't have any mistakes. I can't recommend this book simply because I don't know how accurate it is.

Not a good book. A lot of music pieces are incorrect. I would not recommend it.
