Leí un artículo (o vídeo de youtube), donde hablaban de este producto para convertir tus esmaltes favoritos normales en semipermantes. Me costó encantarlo porque no estaba en la página de Amazon de España (donde compro normalmente). Tuve que entrar en la de UK, aunque el producto es de USA. Ha sido todo un descubrimiento y a mi hija y a mí nos ha encantado. Hay que usar base y top coat de una marca de semipermanente, además del alcohol especial de secado último. Este producto sólo convierte tu esmalte en semipermanente para uso en lámpara UV. También hay que afinar a la hora de mezclar las cantidades (mitad de esmalte y mitad de este producto). Si no te quedan bien al principio, ve probando hasta que encuentres que has hecho la proporción correcta. Ahora que se nos está acabando veo que no es posible encantarlo de nuevo con la situación de la pandemia. Una lástima....

I have tons of regular nail polishes that I bought before I started with my gels. I love gel polish - the gloss and how long it wears - but was always sad that my other polishes were sitting on the self, staring at me. I've done "gelly sandwiches" and while they were nice, they still didn't seem to last as long as a normal gel manicure. When I saw this product, I figured, "why not"? And I am glad that I did! My manis lasted just as long as my regular 2 week gel manis. The photos I uploaded are after 8 days of wear on my latest color -- and I am really hard on my hands! No chips, no wear. Here's how I used it:Applied my favorite gel basecoat -- my go-to is Gelish foundation, bot others worked fine as well. Set the basecoat with the UV/LED lamp as usual.On plastic surface (or I suspect waxed paper would work well), add a drop or two of the Hydrocol. Next, add a drop or two of your favorite polish.Using your polish brush (or, a small paintbrush), swirl the polishes together and mix very well. If you don't mix well, you won;t get the full benefit.Using the polish brush or paintbush, polish your nails just like you would with any gel polish. I used two thin coats, drying with my UV/LED lamp between coats. Don't forget to cap your nail ends. (If you are using your nail polish brush, don't put it back into the polish between coats.)Use your favorite gel topcoat. I tend to make my topcoat slightly thicker than my normal thin color coats, and again, capping the ends. Dry as usual with your UV/LED lamp. (I tend to dry my final coat twice as long as the color coats.)Yes, the nail color will be diluted some -- you are basically mixing your colored polish with a clear. Surprisingly the Orly polish color I used ("Reel Him In") didn't dilute too much. I suspect if I had used a third coat it would have been just like what I saw in the bottle.I did not find that my Hydrocol/polish combo dried out quickly exposed to the air -- the directions above were plenty to do one hand, and it hadn't dried out on the plastic at all by the end of the second coat. Oh, and don't forget to clean off your polish brush or paintbrush when you are done. For the polish brush, wipe well with a paper towel before putting back in the bottle. For a paintbrush, alcohol on a paper towel worked great.Anyway, if this was helpful, a thumbs up is appreciated. But in any case...thanks for reading to the end! :)

Quality of the polish definitely have been altered, I would say the colour change is really obvious, its a totally different colour. Even after the curing process the results is still not as desired eg. Bubbles, no self leveling effect. However, I still have to give credits that it did allow me to start using up all my SH and OPI. I wouldnt have gone back to normal nail polish so this is a temporary solution. I am afraid u might have to buy a bit more hydrocol and make do with a new range of nail colours u didnt originally bought.

Works great! Do a 50/50 (nail polish + gel) and it does the job. I usually buy small cheap nail polishes

Sea el pintauñas que sea, de marca, del chino, rosa, verde, con purpurina... lo convierte en esmalte permanente. Muy contenta con este producto.
