Q: Did you wash the heat n bond before using like it says on the directions? I will never wash the item I am bonding so I don't know if I should skip it.

I have used it in making bags that I quilt. I have washed another fusible and it washed off the bonding agent so not I do not was fusibles and it is a synthetic it won't shrink. I will say it flattens quite a bit and I have used 2 layers but it becomes more difficult to turn and make sharp corners

Q: Is this good for lining Christmas stockings?

If the stocking is large and roomy, it would be ok to line. It will make the stocking very thick. I would recommend using cotton material to make a lining and no fleece!
