Perfect for QC2
The original cable on my vintage QuietComfort 2 started to fail, cutting out intermittently. I ordered this replacement: fit perfectly, sounds fine, and seems sturdier than the original. Very happy.

Nice, heavy duty, and easy to coil
This is so much nicer than the stock cable that it may be worth it as an upgrade even if your original cable is not giving you trouble.I got the 12 cm length because the stock cable felt a little long sometimes. This length feels a little short sometimes (of course.)The 3.5mm (audio device) end is a little large, and is made out of metal, as others have pointed out. I was concerned about using it on an airplane, but had no troubles with it on a recent long trip.Another reviewer commented that you can get noise from rubbing against the heavy-duty insulation on the outside of this cable. I was able to reproduce this, but had to work at it. It's simply not a problem in everyday use.

Good product, great customer service.
My cat chews cords, but not braided ones. This solved my problem of replacing the cable every month. Works just as it should, but much more durable. After about 6 months, the connection started cutting out. I messaged the seller and they responded within about 2 hours offering a replacement. I had a replacement in 2 days after sending the first message. EXCELLENT customer service and response time. Would give 4 stars for having the issue in the first place, but the way they handled it deserves 6 stars!

Great build, need to set cord switch on HI
Great build on these. I use a Fiio X1 audio player with HD music files. While the Bose have never been the greatest headphones, they are the best for airplanes so I use them there and when mowing. I've noticed since I swapped out the cable that I now have to crank the fiio player up to 100 for adequate volume. I checked the fiio with other headphones and it is not the problem. So I think the new bose cable is reducing the volume. I'll try to find my original cable and will compare.Update: I found my original cable and compared it with the replacement. The replacement cuts the volume by about 30 to 40%. Even when I crank the volume when using the replacement I notice a significant decrease in audio clarity compared to the original. I now consider the replacement cable to be not an acceptable cable and am dropping my rating to 1 star.Update 2: TJ's review identified the Robles. The hi lo switch comes set at low. I never noticed that on my bose cord but it is there. Set on high the cord works fine! It is located on the part that clips into the headphones

Better than the Original
This is a high quality cable, much better than the original (which I seem to have semi-permanently misplaced). One -minor- issue is that the connector going into the headphone does not mate as tightly as the original one. That is not to say it is loose or will fall out: It is neither loose nor will it disconnect unless you purposely pull on the cable. The 3.5mm plug is high quality and well strain-relieved. The cable is quite flexible and would, I expect, outlast the original cable many times over.
