This 1893 Map of the Square and Stationary Earth, Orlando Ferguson made visual his emphatic claim that the earth was flat and backs it up with scripture quotes. Well, not really flat, more of a inverted torus or doughnut shape pushed into a square shape. This maps show the earth at the center and the sun, moon and North Star suspended above. There are angels at the "four corners" as stated in scripture as well as a cartoon of two men hanging on to the earth for dear life as it hurls through space. A great map to add to your collection or just to have around for fun. Polls conducted by Gallup in the 1990s found that 16% of Germans, 18% of Americans and 19% of Britons hold that the Sun revolves around the Earth. A study conducted in 2005 by Dr. Jon D. Miller of Northwestern University, an expert in the public understanding of science and technology, found that about 20%, or one in five, of American adults believe that the Sun orbits the Earth. According to 2011 VTSIOM poll, 32% of Russians believe that the Sun orbits the Earth. This map reproduction is 16.5 X 24 inches and is printed on heavyweight coated archival paper with archival inks.

makes a great picture
great for framing as my wife did for me. even if a person does or does not believe in 'flat earth', it makes a great portrait and conversation piece when we have guests over.

I really enjoyed this map
I really enjoyed this map. The one thing I wished it had was the Bible verses the author and creator of the map said he had found to support the flat earth model. I found them eventually, but I would have liked them to have been on the map itself or listed in an appended document. Maybe they were originally, but the map only makes reference to them. Even if the map is not 100% accurate, it is still an interesting model to consider.

Two Stars
This map looks like someone just printed it off their computer, not very high quality.

Low print quality
Mine arrived in a square tube about one inch on a side, so the print was rolled impossibly tight. It had been mashed, so the print had physical creases in it. I would have returned it for another, but the quality of the print itself was so bad that I threw it in the trash. The damage not why I'm giving it a low score. After all, accidents happen. The "archival quality" paper doesn't matter much if it was printed from a low quality image file using an ink jet printer. The typeface was readable, yes, but blurry. It would be a waste to have this framed.

Its huge and once mounted in a picture frame makes a great decorative piece for a office or study
Words or the computer screen image can not explain the sheer definition of this map. Its huge and once mounted in a picture frame makes a great decorative piece for a office or study.
