If you only need a lamp alone, it make the job but the holder is absolute junk. I was about to return it but the alternative are poor at twice the price. If you have a tablet or big phone search for pdr light application as an alternative. Here is a suggestion for product improvement dear HiYi : triple the size of the plastic ball joint that connect the holder to the lamp, it will cost maybe 3 more dollars but you should start having better reviews. Also, the suction cup is pretty poor. There is no competition in that low price range so 40$ those improvements would be welcome by customers. I was not able to screw the plastic ball joint tight one time : it is so loooose that it strip the threads without ever tightening. So now I have a light and a holder that will need mods to hold the lamp. I need my 2 hands to remove dents :)Now I am thinking about a 20 to 30$ microphone stand that would hold the lamp without touching the car. Some have clamps and can be mounted on a garage mechanic seat with rollers, some are floor standing.Update january 2018th : The seller has sent an improved support : ball is a few mm bigger so at least it screw in tight. The suction cup is also a little bigger. Stand that the ball joint should be much more bigger to hold the weight of the pdr lamp. Thanks for support that make it acceptable.

The light board is okay but suction cup can't support the weight and falls off. Can't tighten the plastic nut on the back of the light board enough to keep it from hanging in any other direction than straight down.***Update****The company offered to send me an updated (stronger) support arm but a month later I still haven't seen it. If I could give this item no stars, I would.

I like its versatility and effective help to me as a DIY operator. I disliked my inability to bring my car's door to its original shape totally despite the tool set I acquired.Others complained about the breaking the ball-nut connector to the board. One should realize that the nut should be loose before attempting any change in position.

The Light seems to work Ok but the mounting on the light is not strong to hold the light properly . You can not tighten the nut properly because it strips very easily. So you can not lock it in the position you want .
