➤➤➤➤➤➤➤ The stainless steel charcoal fire grate designed to improve the performance of your Kamado Joe Classic Grill. The 10.25" diameter wire grid design allows more air flow to the charcoal and will not clog with ash like the many small holes on the original fire grate. Stop struggling with the ash that builds up on top of the traditional cast iron fire grate which you have to clean between uses. High temp cooking is easier now, but yes, it will still work at lower temperatures. Because the grate does not clog up and block air like the traditional grate, you must regulate these temperature by carefully adjusting the draft door and low temperature cooking is as easy as ever.

Outstanding Upgrade
I had been looking at various charcoal baskets to help me with temperature control in my Kamado Joe, but I couldn't get comfortable with the idea of paying $80 to have less charcoal capacity. I stumbled across this solution and figured it was worth a shot.I've done a half-dozen cooks so far, and the difference in temperature control is amazing. I definitely use more charcoal than with the cast iron grate, but a) not a lot more; and b) it's absolutely worth it in order to cook at your desired temperature.Very happy to solve my problem for 20% of the anticipated cost!

Excellent replacement for WSM 18.5"
I finally decided to tune up my WSM with stainless. This grill fits perfectly in place for the bottom smoking grate.Only way this rating will change is if it rusts, in which case it will mean this is not the stainless it is sold as.This grill is meaty. Much heavier duty than the stock grill the WSM comes with.It is a shame that WSMs do not come with stainless components, the razor profit model is sad and greedy when applied to a smoker. As Webers do not come with stainless it is great that other people pick up the slack for them.

MY SMALL MOCHA POT.......
....kept falling through the thingies on our small butane camping stove (no - I experimented first with NO fire!). Tried covering the burner area with cheap chicken wire (man - that stuff will melt when you put flame to it!). Thought about it some more, found this, fits perfectly and now I can brew up some espresso when I feel like it ('cause mocha pots + electric burners just don't cut it for espresso taste - fire is the only way to go!).

Not quite as pictured
I bought the 10.25" version for my Kamado Joe Classic II. It "fits", but if it were 0.25" smaller it would fit better. The three stars is because the photo shows twelve cross bars with what appears to be reasonable space between each. The one I received has only eleven bars with 5/8" between them — too much in my opinion.
