Q: Will these keep your feet warm in cooler weather--say 35-40 F?

My husband cleans pools for a living and was looking for a shoe to keep his foot dry. He states that these do keep your feet warm (and dry) in cooler weather but has never had them in snow. Hope that helps.

Q: What is the "biocide" used in the insoles, is it a possibility toxic chemical soup?

I am not aware of the chemical make-up of the Sloggers Men's Shoes. I have been wearing mine all summer long for cutting grass, and working in the garden. I usually wear sox with mine, and to the best of my knowledge, have suffered no ill effects due to wearing Slogger's Shoes.

Yes, live dangerously! Women can surely enjoy these shoes in men's sizes as long as you find the size that fits you. Seriously, these are great shoes - comfortable, waterproof, easy to get on and off.
