The Three Billy Goats Gruff (My First Fairy Tales)

We had actually rented this book from our library and renewed it so many times that I realized we had to have our own copy! My son, who is three, absolutely loves this book! He laughs so much when he sees the green stinky cloud that's the trolls breath and he loves it when the goats skip away saying 'silly old troll' he can narrate the stories himself because the pictures and the words go together so well that it makes for an enjoyable and memorable story and the illustrations are so bright and humorously expressive.I'll hear him giggling, come in the room and he has this book out just laughing looking at the pictures and quoting the lines he enjoys the most.The paper back version is just as inviting and vivid as the hard copy. My son asked for simple fairy tale stories to read to his 3 year old son. This book was a huge hit!! It is my grandson's favorite story for bedtime reading! It follows the classic fairy tale but simplified for his age group, and the pictures are brightly colored, and just scary enough to be fun.

A great retelling, just scary enough for preschoolers.

My Preschoolers absolutely loved this book. As a teacher I really appreciate that this book was easy to read and the pictures are bright and help the kids clearly understand the story. I also really enjoyed the size of this book, great for reading to large group of kids.
