You can't beet this price....
I use this beet powder in a homemade sport drink mixture and smoothies mostly. It works for the purposes intended but it does start to get clumpy after a little bit even stored in a mason jar. I just use a butter knife to break it up. I tried sifting it and that worked but not for very long. It's not that big of a deal though. I highly recommend and would buy again.UPDATE: This is December and I've been using this powder for a while but just today mustered up the cojones to just taste it from the storage container. It has a slightly sweet, earthy taste. Very clean and beet like. Imagine that. What was I so anxious about? I'm sticking with this brand for future purchases of this item. Like they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it and break it.

to supplement good diet and exercise of course
If you have high blood pressure, this is your answer...to supplement good diet and exercise of course...and seek the advice of a medical professional...who will probably tell you beet powder will do nothing for you...but it will. Warning, it tastes like dirt, but that is the nature of beet root...beets taste like dirt, so that kind of makes sense. My 96 year old grandmother initially recommended this to me, and I must say it is nothing short of amazing. I have not been tracking my BP as closely as I should, but a buddy at work was up in the 180 range when he found out he had high BP. They put him on meds and that got him down in the 160's, and then I gave him 500g of powder and he takes a tablespoon twice a day and is consistently down in the 120's now...he has a spreadsheet and spotfire project tracking it. You can put about a tablespoon in a fruit smoothy before it destroys the flavor, so that's typically what I do...my grandma mixes it with apple cider vinegar as a shot, but she's stronger than most.

The value for your money is MORE than here ..... would definitely buy again
Don’t get hung up on little lumps and such... it is a nature of the beast and they dissolve readily. I shared my purchase with my sister and waited a week before talking to her. We both added a teaspoon each morning to our routine morning drinks. We BOTH realized we had extra energy. For that to be noticeable is a big plus for us. I thought it was in my head until she brought it up in our conversation. As far as taste.... it reminded me of an energy drink taste that I had experienced in a few different drinks. It will stain - but, I find it easier to clean up than turmeric.

It's Beet Powder
I am going to have to sift this shipment of beet powder. There are lots of clumps in it. I am not certain if this is because of the larger bulk or some other reason. As for taste. It tastes like beets..that is either pleasant enough or unpleasant depending upon your disposition towards beets. I like beets well enough but I have to mix the powder with Mango Nectar and then let it sit for a bit to allow for some re-hydration in order to make it palatable in texture as well as taste. The effects are, however, why I do it. It is well worth it. One thing is that it reduces my blood pressure naturally. Big Win! Added energy etc are all part of the package too :)

Like a dried spice in your cabinet you haven`t used in 10 years
We use a lot of different powders at our house like beets, greens, coconut, etc Thought having a carrot powder would be nice. The powder doesnt smell or taste like carrots. It has rock hard clumps in it. My best guess as to why this is so terrible tasting- is that I think it is very old. I would not recommend to anyone. I am not even sure its carrots.

Carrot or chalk.
The product is being sold in a clear package the compromises the color and flavor of the product. The color has turned from Carrot orange to pale yellow and the flavor from Carrot sweet to a chalky taste.

Tastes great
I bought this product hoping that it would replace the more expensive products that I have tried ... and I am overjoyed to say that it does just as good a job as the higher priced items and tastes great.

Not a strong carrot flavor...
I had wanted to use this like a spice. If you're doing smoothies or stuff like that, this is just fine. I've used it in soups as a thickener, which worked well. Not a bad deal; it just depends on what you're after.
