Gateway to raw lifestyle
Well written, easy to follow with some great food. May want to scale back the quantity for one person. I lost 6 pounds in the first week without feeling hungry and in the knowledge I was not skimping on nutrients.

Helped me A LOT!
Granted I have only fallen in love with about 10 recipes from this book but when I buy a dehydrator I think that'll make a massive difference. The recipes that I love, I use them all the time. Its really a superb resource that I would highly recommend to beginners.

Brilliant introduction
I was already vegan and interested in trying out raw, but didn’t really know where to start. This book gives a helpful introduction to a raw diet. It contains a three week meal plan with shopping lists and day by day instructions on what to prep etc. All the recipes I have tried so far have been delicious and I am excited to try more of them! I will definitely continue to incorporate some of this way of eating into my diet in future.

Set your money on fire it’ll be cheaper
I can’t believe the author boast about how it’s so inexpensive, week 1 groceries cost me $300 for 2 people. That’s week one! Shes completely out of touch with what the average person is spending on groceries that she think $300/week is cheap. Doesn’t take into account substitutions that would be cheaper options (like seasonal vegetables), but also it’s very difficult to deviate from the meals. If you didn’t get cauliflower because it was $6 a head, there aren’t any other options to replace the ingredient or replace the meal. You don’t know what are the staple items that you should be picking up every week, and what are the one time ingredients. Very poor job with meal prepping. Everything is one day at a time, I work so I have 1 day to prep for the whole week. At least all week you can get a better snapshot of what groceries you’ll be using and how many you’ll need. Your nutrients are based on daily, not meal which makes it more difficult for you to swap out meals or ingredients (coming back to seasonal vegetables and on sale grocery items). It’s a fad, and highly unsustainable for the average person. It’s just another lose weight fast diet, only you have to pay an arm and a leg.
