Give it a go
Almost put off by the bad reviews but i own many brita items and love them all. Obviously I can't take my fridge filter box out with me, so this seemed logical If you need good tasting tap water on the go, this is for you. Yes the lid is a bit clumsy. Yes drinking from it takes a little getting used to because there is a method.Yes it is somewhat easier to just open the lid and drink from the bottle, a built in straw would have been helpful. But on the whole it gives you great tasting tap water wherever you may be. So if you live in a city and want to reduce your carbon footprint and save some money on your daily commute are bothered by all the plastic your throwing away, this is for you. I was in Birmingham recently at a conference and a bottle of water at our hotel was £3.90 and £2 at the train station, while my colleges were complaining I had no issues with my bottle in hand, it made the tap water taste fine. I live in wales and our water is usually OK but with this it is fantastic. I'd say its worth every penny. A bit disappointed it didn't come with a few filters or the option of a starter pack with say 12 filters to keep you going your first year.On the whole an awesome product if you travel and enjoy good water.

Not fit for purpose
I should have read the reviewsAs mine leaks terriblyI can’t understand why.Is it a design flaw I wonder. It always remains upright.I make sure the mouth piece is fully closed, but when I open it later on, water just comes pouring out. It’s ridiculousIt leaks from under the actual mouth piece, & also underneath the screw top area.It seems worse when I’ve filled it & put it in the fridge to cool for later. Is it a pressure thing? Is the water gathering in the filter? Also one of the black rubber rings keeps falling out. It’s a shame as it’s a good idea in principle, as I want to stop buying bottled water & reduce my plastic useage. But this just isn’t going to work if it throws water all over me when I go to have a drink.BRITA need to address this problem asap as the product is not fit for purpose. And obviously I’m not alone in having this issue. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem?

Clean-looking, sturdy and leak-free (but not suitable for spies)
This bottle is great and the water out of it tastes really good. The only downside is that the replacement filters seem to be running at around £3 each - which is a bit pricey compared to the older filters, from what I can find. The top of the bottle is a bit bigger than I expected, but the cap and lid seem to be completely leak-proof. The bottle itself seems tough and stays very clean-looking.I'm really confused about the other reviews saying that the bottle is really noisy to drink from. It's not 'noisy' unless you find a light gurgling sound 'noisy'. I can only assume that these other reviewers are actually spies who have been detected in covert operations due to some very observant guards with their ears pricked for the sound of water filters. If this is the case, then I can only thank these people for their service to whatever country they're spying for.

I can’t do without it 🙈
I’m really fussy about tap water as I don’t like the taste but was sick of buying water bottles as it increases my single use plastic intake. Concious about the planet and/or want to save some coin with a great taste? This is for you. Very easy set up plus you can register your item online for Britta warranty. Allows tasty water for about 3 weeks (standard recommendation of 4 but I drink a lot of it) and easy filter change. I’ve dropped the bottle multiple times and in tact. Mouthpiece can get a bit gritty but soaking it in lukewarm water with washing up liquid does the job. I take completely apart once a week to ensure bottle is clean. Really useful item and has helped my mum drink more water also.

Perfect for hard water areas
If you’ve lived in a hard water area you know how disgusting tap water can taste. These are perfect ‘by the bed’ bottles that mean the water tastes just as fresh regardless of how long it’s been sat on the side. 4 colours so we have one for all the family and it’s an essential travelling companion for overnight trips. The filters are easy to use and replace (tbh I think you can get a lot longer than they recommend out of them & first sip with new filter is much better spat out!)- easy to drink from, especially with the updated version that doesn’t have a straw. There is a push/pull top and lid but I personally don’t feel it’s secure enough to leave sideways in a bag and store them upright as don’t feel they’re a leakproof option of bottle but the benefits of fresh tasting water outweigh that for us.
