My phone charges with a 1A wall charger. However, the 1A port on this charger does not charge my phone. The 2A one does, but I would only use it for really bad emergencies because I do not want it to ruin my battery. It's a lot heavier than I thought it would be and bulkier too. I do like though that it does hold enough for multiple charges (like if I were to somehow get stranded somewhere for days, I would not have to worry about my phone dying. Though, I would hope that if I could get service in the first place I would be rescued that same day...)Update: nevermind, it only charged my phone the one time. Now it no longer charges my phone. :/ Now I really need a new one. Any suggestions?7/15/2016 update: Since the first portable charger did not work, the company offered to send me a replacement. They claim that there have been updates so it should not fail like the last one. Well, it definitely seems like the updates work. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it charges my HTC One M8 multiple times before needing to be recharged. I really appreciate when a company behaves honestly and they made a point to make sure I was satisfied with their product. Thank you!

I bought this charger in May. However, since I had a major move, I did not go out often, which means the portable charger stayed at home. When I tried to use it a few times, it wasn't clear whether it was charging. I had my phone in it all night a few times and found it did not charge. I didn't think much of it because I was bleary eyed. Anyway, I started using this and carrying it on a daily basis, much like my former Jackery which I loved. Well I found out quickly the reason why the charging was shotty. It is because the parts themselves were loose and unstable. Gogyre won't answer my emails.

THE GOOD:Battery bank works as advertised. good capacity. feels solid and well made. has a satisfying heft to it. takes a long time to charge. charges phones and ipads fine. the flash light is not a gimmick, its a good feature. helps plugs things up in the dark. you can clearly see the ports when its on, as well as find the ports on the item you are charging. THE BAD: the unit itself will not charge reliably with all charger cords. the port is deep and some chargers are not long enough to lock into place and they will pop out. cord it comes with works fine. If I lose or break the stock cord, I am SOL unless I can find one that will lock in place. im sure someone who is handy could widen the port or move the plug closer. I personally feel that would compromise safe use of the item. 3 stars only because of the potential cord issue. what good is a battery bank if I cant recharge it?

I absolutely loved this charger. I use my phone constantly for my work and it would frequently die on me. This charger was PERFECT.Regarding the slow charging rate, I would plug it in over night and in the morning it would be ready to go. It takes time to charge, but then lasts for so many charges. I would rather have a charger that can last me for 3 days after leaving it over night, then have to recharge one device several times, or worry about planning my day around when I could make it to an outlet throughout the day.Now. Why did I not give it the 5 stars? After having this charger for 5 months and using it pretty regularly, I had charged it and planned to use it (phone battery was below 20%) when it wouldn't even turn on. I knew it was charged and it hadn't had any big drops/water damage/etc. It had just decided to stop working. When I got home, I plugged it in (as some last ditch effort to save my charger) but NO reaction.There was no warning at all. Luckily I was near the end of my work day and my phone could just die. If I had been stuck in the middle of the day with no way of charging, I could have lost money.

So happy with this but! It does take a little bit of time to charge up, but dang does this thing hold some power! It can easily charge my Galaxy S8 2.5 times off one charge. Super happy and I will definitely recommend. The white looks super nice as well. The blue 4 lights easily indicate the battery status of the portable battery.

This is pretty ridiculous. It is quite a large external charger that would be fine to keep in the car or whatnot, maybe a larger purse, but I can't even charge the dang thing. the charging cable is so far recessed into the thing that none of my cables will charge the battery. That and i charged it once, used it for one full charge of a phone, I have 3 blinking lights and it won't charge anything. not intuitive, if i keep a rubber-band around a charging cable into the device it will charge my phone (while being charged..) but otherwise nothing. Very frustrated, of course i'm 2 days past the return deadline.

I bought this for use on a trip to the UK where I would be walking a lot and needed to keep my phone charged. This worked like a charm. When others on the trip stated that their phones were drained, I was assured that I had the power I needed. The battery does add heft to your purse or backpack but absolutely worth it!

Used it for a week while up at a remote cabin in northern Minnesota. Charged a cell phone X2, tablet X3, camera battery X1 (all needed full charge). Only used 50% of it's juice. Based on others comments I read 12 full charges seems about right. Bought 2 more for Christmas gifts.Just checked both chargers before I wrapped them up for xmas and after 4 weeks of sitting they both still had 100% charge!!
