Great Value!
Much better than the Gen1 version. The turrets are loud and tactile, not mushy. Elevation is stiff and windage is even stiffer so they will not turn accidentally and don't need to lock or be capped. The illuminated reticle is daytime bright and the whole reticle illuminates now. This scope replaced my old Vortex Razor Gen2 which was too bulky and heavy. The glass is clearer and brighter at dusk/dawn, and color rendition seems better. The Cronus does have a little bit more CA than the Vortex but its barely visible near the center, its more out toward the edges of the view. The Cronus really outshines the Razor at longer distances, beyond 400 yards it gives me a clearer view of most targets. I am a big fan of both Athlon and Vortex, I love their transferable lifetime warranty and great CS. But in this particular case, the Athlon Cronus is the better scope for me.

Disappointed with the optics so fa
I need to get some more time behind the scope but I'm a little disappointed in the optics for the price. Seems only marginally better than my SWFA SS 3-15 and not as bright or clear as the Viper PST gen2. This is supposed to compete with the Razor HD so I was shocked. I know it's subjective so I'll try and get a few more people to look through the glass but right now I almost wish I had bought the Viper PST for $750 and used the rest for 338 Lapua ammo. I did buy it mostly for the turrent tracking though which seems right on so far.

Maybe the best scope at this price range.
What can I say? Great class with good contrast, very clicky turrets and minimal CA. I have a Kahles K624i and this beats it in contrast and eye relief. Eye box is a little finnicky at high power but that's expected. Tracks great and illumination is daytime bright if that matters to you.

Nice optic
I bought this because i needed another optic and i had used one before. The paralax adj is very tight and the turret clicks are less refined than my ATACR, ZCO, NX8 and S&B PMII. that being said its half the price of 3 mentioned above. Great value and a solid choice when on a budget.

Waterproof?? Not even close!!
I'm sorry, I bought this scope due to reviews and used it in Washington State during a hunt. Everything was great until it poured. Absolutely poured!! We had to get out due to 24 hrs + of rain. Finally it cleared up by the time we made it back to the truck. We went back out a few hours later and I found an amazing elk....Nope. Scope was fogged up and water was floating between the glass. couldnt make anything out and lost an opportunity. Do not recommend.

Worth every penny
This is easily the highest quality scope I've ever used. Definitely worth the money
