An amazing, easy to read resource on the benefits of diet on the skin, expertly researched.
Dr. Katta has written an engaging and scientifically based book that distills a complex volume of research into an easy to understand guide. Informative and entertaining, Dr. Katta walks us through the concepts of sugar sag, power nutrients, and how to avoid skin sabotage. As a dermatologist, I have found this information to be very helpful in guiding patients to consider how their diet may be playing a role in their skin disease. I now have this book in each of my exam rooms. Often, this leads to a discussion on how inflammation plays a significant role in skin disease and how an anti-inflammatory diet can be beneficial. I am very grateful to have found such a well-written and easy to comprehend book that underscores the role food plays in our skin and overall health. The accompanying flavorful and easy to prepare recipes are an added bonus. I highly recommend this book.

This book curates the latest body of research on the food/health connection into a clear,easy-to-follow resource. Life changing!
After taking a graduate-level course in nutrition several years ago, I began reading and practicing ways to incorporate healthy meals into my family’s routine. I follow countless blogs and social media pages authored by physicians, nutritionists and registered dietitians so I can better understand the body’s response to food. This book is now at the very top of my list and my go-to for answers and information not only as it relates to taking care of my skin, but also to understand which items to eat and serve to control blood sugar and which are natural anti-inflammatory agents. Dr. Katta curates the latest body of research in easy to understand, bite-sized pieces so readers can easily identify herbs, spices, vegetables and other foods to eat for specific concerns or benefits. This book explains the advanced knowledge and information typically known only to those in the medical field so that readers of all backgrounds can better understand the science behind the causal relationship between diet and health. Glow is a true gift. Once you read it, you’ll want to loan your copy to everyone in your life.

A must read, incredibly educational and inspiring.
This book is a must read. Not only is it educational and inspiring but it is also an easy read. Dr. Katta a dermatologist with over twenty years of experience has written a book that is based on medical research into the everyday foods that we eat such as herbs, fruits, vegetables, meats and grains and shares with us how these foods affect our body. It heightened my awareness of the fact that many skin conditions can be prevented just from eating the correct foods and eliminating others from our diet. Better yet I am now cognizant of the fact that eating the correct foods can delay aging of the skin, how amazing is that! After reading this book I am now more mindful of the foods I put into my body in terms of how they benefit me. "Glow" is a wonderfully informative and insightful book that I highly recommend not to just women of all ages but men and young adults too.

Fantastic accessible book on how to eat healthy!
As I turned every page, I kept making mental notes of whom I wanted to recommend this book for--friends, co-workers and family! It is written in such an accessible way that it leaves the reader with no excuses not to eat healthily! Dr. Katta provides interesting information, backed up by scientific articles, but explains it in such a way that one nods their head as they read along. That makes sense! Now, I understand why this particular food group is healthy for me, and why it is best paired with such and such or seasoned with this particular spice to maximize the health benefits. I especially enjoyed her information on prebiotics and probiotics. Her recipes at the end are simple, with minimal cooking time and minimal ingredients--designed to give the biggest bang for the buck. It will be a go-to resource for me as I navigate a healthier diet for both my skin and overall health.
