The delivery was strange. My parcel was not delivered to the door as usual, but left in the office of the apartments. It's a good thing the office manager brought it to me. I thought the package was lost. All in all, everything is fine. The planting soil is perfect for birds of paradise.

I have a BOP in a 20 gallon pot, which should technically need 16q of soil. I purchased 2 bags of the 8qt bags. Yet, I'm going to need at least 16 more quarts to replant my BOP. I haven't started the replanting, since I have to wait for the extra delivery ( I'll update review later). Yet, I just wanted people to be aware, whom may be potting lager plants, that you will need to purchase more then you think. This soil comes extremely dried, whereas most soil always has some moisture in it, which may account for the smaller amount ( since it will expand when you water it.) Currently, I have my plant in catcus soil, which has worked well, but I have to fertilize a lot, since it's not technically blended for a BOP. I have to repot because I have an infestation of earth worms from when I had it outside in the summer. Whereas, a few are good for a plant, too many can start overproducing and can eat the roots etc of the plant, hence why I need to repot.Update - purchased 2 more bags ( 4 total). Still did not fill the pot. Had to purchase a store bag in order to complete repotting. Added rocks to the bottom ( which also took up space). If your using this for a large pot ( 20 inch- 17 deep) you will need at least 6 bags, which makes this soil not very cost effective. Plant seems to be doing well ( only 4 days out from repot).

It says it's 8 quarts but it's a smaller bag then the 8 quart bag of Miracle-Gro, how could that be. It looks more like 4 quarts. Not sure if I would buy it again for that reason. Cost more than Miracle-Gro.

I don’t normally write reviews but I love this soil. When I water my birds of paradise, the water drains so fast. My plant has also grown 2 new huge leaves since repotting with this soil. Highly recommend!

Wasn’t sure how this product would work, but I have a very happy plant that flourished as soon as it was transplanted into this soil.

I have a beautiful bird of paradise plant that I love. It’s my favorite of my plants. My baby. I changed the soil to this stuff and soon after the plant was infested with scales. I’m still trying to get rid of them and they just keep coming.
