A case of plagiarism?
I bought this book, "Hygge: How to Practice the Danish Art of Coziness" (copyright 2018) along with The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living (The Happiness Institute Series) by Meik Wiking (copyright 2017). I feel like I have bought the same book twice. At no point does the author, Joanne Hillyer, give credit to Mr. Wiking in her research. In reference to the Danish wearing black, page 18-- "...you may think you've walked onto the set of a ninja movie" versus page 84-- "you may think you have walked onto the set on a ninja movie." Woolen socks: page 18--"Wool socks, like scarfs and sweaters, are a must. The Danes view them as sort of hygge-insurance" versus page 85--"Ally yourself with a nice pair of woolen socks as a hygge insurance." Layers: page 17--"You can't hygge when you're cold" versus page 85--"You can't hygge when you are cold." Casual hair: page 18-- "...almost to the point of being lazy" versus page 86--"...to the point of being borderline lazy." I feel like I have wasted my money buying this book since it is nearly identical to the other. I am quite frustrated at the added effort to return a book I clearly did not need. Buy Mr. Weiking's book instead, as his book is more informative! Plus, he has even included recipes.
