Love them! Rinse before adding to aquarium.
I really love these rocks. They look really good in my aquarium. When I was rinsing them there was a black film on them. I just poured some into a strainer and swirled them around under a running faucet. It did stain my strainer but they have been in my aquarium for about 3 days now and they are doing perfectly fine. I did need 3 bags for a 30 gallon tank. Just to give you a size estimate for whatever you use them for. I'm very happy with these tho.

Look just like the picture
These rocks are perfect. I expected the bag to have more in it but those little guys are pretty heavy. I think I will still have to order 2 or 3 more bags for my project. They are very pretty. Look just like the picture.

A beautiful enhancement to my succulent planters
This aquarium rock serves many purposes but mainly used for my succulent planters and fountain. Very pleased with the results.

Natural my eye, these are painted
It's been less than a year and you can see these rocks are all different types that have been painted and polished black. I should have guessed that was the case, other reviewers said the water turned cloudy, but I figure you should always rinse off anything you put in an aquarium. To be clear, after soaking for a day and rinsing in hot water, I didn't experience any clouding, and I used 3 bags for a 75 gallon tank. In a regular fish tank, you'd probably never notice, but with a turtle tank, my turtle likes to forage and dig under the rocks, causing them to bang and rub on each other. I think that and the constant submersion under water are the reasons the rocks are starting to show under the paint.
