This fountain has held up well in my birdbath for a couple of summers. I take it inside in the winter. It works great even with a little bit of sun. The birds enjoy it.

It works somewhat as intended. I couldn't get it to stay in the middle of my birdbath, so it floats to the side and any wind blows the water out of the birdbath. They real need to develop a nozzle that barely sprays out the side or up.

I rated this fountain only three stars because the fountain construction is designed to fail.The water flow height decreased about a month after I put the first fountain in my small pond. I cleaned the filter which is also difficult to remove when the motor is mounted with the filter trapped between the electrical box and the motor.So, I cut off one of the motor mounts and rotated the motor so the filter faces outward. After cleaning the filter, the water flow was still low.I pushed out the motor to separate it from the panels. Then, I carefully lifted the sealed box’s exposed long side edge by pivoting on the opposite edge against the plastic back. If you lift the entire box to break the tape seal, then you could break the two thin wires that connect the sealed box to the solar panel solder pads.These two exposed soldered pads got wet when the sealed electrical box sealing tape leaked. Water on the bare solder pad joints will drain some of the solar power from the fountain battery.I used a waterproof epoxy to permanently waterproof the entire solder pad area (including the lightly raised area around the exposed solder pads). The epoxy will also help keep the thin wires from breaking when they are glued to the plastic.Use 3M automotive emblem foam tape to remount the sealed electrical box to the solar panel. Allow the tape & epoxy at least 24 hrs to cure before submerging the fountain in water.I did the above to two fountains and they work like they did when they were new!

The media could not be loaded.  I love this bubbler for my bird bath. I was not able to use any of the nozzles because the water sprayed out of my birdbath when the sun was hitting it directly. Mornings with less sun allowed me to use any of them but because of where I decided to place my birdbath, it works best without any at all. I think using in a more shaded area you could use any of them-and they were all good! I realize that it needs to be stabilized in the water somehow so the plastic straws do the job but I took off one star because I don't like them to be so visible. Maybe if I had a larger birdbath it they would be less noticeable. I did trim the plastic just a bit to make them fit. I have only had it for a few days so I can't speak to the longevity but so far I am very pleased with my purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  Have had three of these. They last the full season. We remove in winter when water may freeze. Too strong for our southern sunlight, so we used dremel to add holes to the six-hole nozzle and now have 12 jets that fill the area and go about six inches high. Fewer holes would make taller spray, but then the wind blows it out and you have to refill it. Love it and the birds love it!

Haven't had the fountain long enough to really rate the longevity. The fountain worked great when first put in bird bath. Love the choice of 4 nozzles. After rain for three days in a row, it took some perservence to get the fountain to work again. Cleaning is easy but it took two cleanings and a lot of shaking to get it to work again. Today was sunny and it was working perfectly. I do keep my bird bath clean and hopefully the fountain will continue to function well. The birds seem to enjoy it and it keeps the water in the bird bath much cleaner. So far good purchase.Further information on my purchase. I now rate this item 0 stars. When it worked, it was great but it has stopped working and no amount of cleaning or shaking will bring it back to life. I live in FL so sunny is not a problem. I believe I have a defective fountain and I have contacted the seller requesting a replacement or a refund but so far no reply. I would never buy from this seller again.

It's a great, easy to use fountain that attracts multiple birds. My only wish is to find a small solar fountain that lasts longer then 4 months.

I wanted to add a water feature to a birdbath that I have. I have to put it on a water pattern that does not spill out of the birdbath confines for obvious reasons (it will run out of water and you will have to constantly refill it). The filter would clog with tree debris often so I had to clean it but that is not the water fountain's fault....that was my fault. I just moved the birdbath to a better location where it didn't get inundated with tree needles, leaves, etc.. It is very nice and even my son commented on how much he enjoyed it!!
