My Clarins CLEAR-OUT Blackhead Expert [Stick + Mask] is an interesting product design. All in one, it is a tube of clay mask and an exfoliator stick.Both the stick and mask have a fresh scent that does not bother my perfume allergies.In my first use, I followed the direction, on my clean face used the stick to exfoliate, then the mask - I just did it on my nose and chin. Once I removed the mask, dang it worked! My blackheads were mostly removed and had smaller pores.The stick is on the aggressive side, without being sharp or scratchy. It is something I wouldn't do more than once or twice a week, and only to target areas.The mask on its own (I tried it all over my face) is refreshing, leaving my face looking bright, and not oily the next day. But with the price and effectiveness of My Clarins CLEAR-OUT Blackhead Expert [Stick + Mask] I will stick to using it for my Tzone/ trouble areas.

Interesting packaging for the 2-in-1 blackhead cleanser. It took me awhile to figure out how to access the stick and then the mask. The stick was easy to apply although I don’t think the stick will survive many more uses. After 1 use, it’s already sitting lopsided and is ready to fall off. The mask was easy to apply and wash off.There are many blackhead and pore minimizing products on the market. Many don’t work as claim and some could work if used properly. Based on my experience, the key to minimizing pores is the temperature of the water. Before applying step 1 (the stick), I wash my face with a gentle cleanser to remove all makeup and impurities using WARM water. Then I apply the stick and washed it off with WARM water. Then I apply the mask. After 10 minutes, I wash the mask off using COOL water. Warm water opens the pores for cleansing and cool water helps close the pores. My pores do appear smaller after using this product.

It effectively targets blackheads and visibly minimizes pores, leaving you with smooth and clear skin. It goes the extra mile by mattifying your skin, reducing shine, and providing a refreshing effect. Say goodbye to stubborn blackheads and excess oil with this innovative product. I love it!

I really wanted to try this product to help exfoliate and clear up some areas on my nose that likes to collect blackheads. Unfortunately, the first time I tried to use it, the exfoliation stick fell out of its holder and onto the floor. I had wet the stick and did not press hard on my face, so I think a better design to hold the exfoliator in place is needed. I was able to rinse it off and smash it back into the tube but a lot of product was wasted, which is a shame since I do like how my face felt after using, however, now most of the exfoliator is already gone and a lot of the mask is left.

I like how this is a 2 in 1 stick with a purifying mask and blackhead stick in one. Both are easy to use on the face but I did find it a bit abrasive for my sensitive skin. Because of this, I only use it about once or twice a week. It did help reduce my blackheads but the mask left my face feeling on the drier side so I definitely needed to moisturize afterwards.
