We love Thai food
Slightly milder than most fish sauces. This one seems to be more tailored to the American palette. It's got NOTHING in it besides anchovies and water. We love Thai food, and we've been doing "The Whole 30" diet, so I was glad to find this product with no added sugar. We can pretty much replicate a Thai flavor by combining this fish sauce with coconut aminos (instead of soy sauce), lots of lime, and of course some hot peppers. The coconut aminos taste a little like soy sauce, but they have a slightly sweet flavor, so that helps bring the necessary sweetness to our pseudo-Thai recipes while we're on a sugar free diet.I called the manufacturer to find out how the ingredients in this Kosher version differ from the regular (non-kosher) version. They told me that the ingredients are exactly the same. It's just that the kosher one is supervised to make 100% sure that no non-kosher contaminants are inadvertently included. It's mostly a formality. If you don't keep kosher, you can save a few bucks by buying the regular version; it will taste the same.

A Bit Pricy but SO Nice to Find!
Hubby and I keep kosher but we love Thai and Chinese cuisine,. Because of so many non-kosher items used to make many sauces in Asian cooking, we have to be creative to make kosher Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese cuisine. Though it's a bit pricey, we really like this fish sauce. It's the only kosher fish sauce we know of and very much enjoy the freedom to cook with it for our favorite dishes! We are always on the lookout for kosher ingredients for Asian cooking! :)

OU kosher
Finally an OU kosher fish sauce! I used this in pad Thai (of course) and it came out great. Have also heard that it’s great in Brussels sprouts. Be warned it really smells up your house — but that’s clearly a sign of it being good ;-)

Four Stars
Way overpriced but no other bender carries it.

a good fish sauce
I thought it had milder and less salty finish than Red Boat 40n. Overall it's one of the better out there for a subtle only fish and salt taste . Tiparos is what I'm accustomed too over the years and what I used to seek. I still prefer it to all other Thai fish sauces I've tried.. Then I tried Golden Shell a Vietnamese fish sauce and it became my new benchmark. It still hasn't been dethroned but I find it hard to get. This fish sauce is almost as good as it. Red Boat 40n is up there too.

Too short an expiration date
According to the manufacturer the product has a three year shelf life from date of manufacture and the best by date is three years from that date. The product also is good for 1 year from the time it is opened. The bottle I received has an expiration date less than three months from now so it is old stock
