100 Most Beautiful Songs Ever for Fingerstyle Ukulele | Standard Notation and Tablature | Solo Arrangements of Timeless Classics

Definitely a huge selection of songs, full sheet music and chord melody.

The "100 Most Beautiful" title of this book oversells the contents somewhat. It is true that the book contains 100 songs, but there is no classical music and very little jazz, which do sound beautiful on the ukulele. The songs are mostly English-language pop songs from the second half of the 20th century. I suppose that is a fine time period since that is when most ukulele players grew up and Hal Leonard does mostly sell to English-speaking Americans. While there are many popular artists represented, the songs are generally not the most popular songs from those artists.The arrangements are relatively easy while still capturing the essence of the melodies. The arrangements are mostly single notes and first-position chords. Beginner fingerstyle players should be able to play most of these songs with some practice. I do like that the tablature includes full standard musical notation and lyrics. Even though fingerstyle songs are generally played without singing, having the lyrics as well as the standard notation do make the rhythm of the song easier to follow.I'm glad that Hal Leonard is able to publish a compilation like this. I hope they can put out more volumes with a wider variety of songs and difficulty levels. Accurate ukulele tablature for some of these artists is very hard to come by.

No chord stamp, purchased a stamp and put it in myself. They should put that in their ad to let us know.

There are many great songs with different levels of difficulty. Good for all types of players and tastes in music.

Sorry to find there's no CD or online to help w/these arrangements. I get the basic drift of the tab, then make something up to fill in the gaps. The songs I've picked, just don't hold up, at least for me.

Love this book. Not really for a beginner finger picker - I would say intermediate. Lotsof great songs. Lot's of arpeggio's intertwined. Fingerstyle books with tabs aren't easy tofind and so happy to find this new release!

The media could not be loaded.  Quite a comprehensive collection of (modern day) songs. The tabs are useful for people who’re not good or can’t read standard music notation. I also luv the fact that chord names & song lyrics are included!
