Ecofix works!
This stuff works great. I'm new to figuring out how exactly to correctly maintain a koi pond and had managed to kill the algae off but then realized that I needed something to actually get rid of it. Ecofix, exactly as described, does just that.At first I thought it wasn't working but after a week or so my water cleared up and now it's crystal clear. I'll be using Ecofix for clean-ups and routine algae control from now on.

I switched to another type of pond clarifier and I was so dissappointed in it's poor performance, that I came back to purchase this one (again). It was my bad, but I learned my lesson - I'm sticking to this one from now on!! The product cleared my pond up in no time and the water stays crystal clear.

works
This is the second year I have used ECOFIX sludge remover in my pond. If your filter uses UV light to kill algae, be sure to turn it off for a couple days when you add the sludge remover.

Go to Lowes and get a Clorox pool/spa product.
This product did absolutely nothing to alleviate the small pond algae problem. It almost seemed like it fed the algae instead. The package directions were followed through two courses of treatment with absolutely no results.

Did not seem to work for me
I have a rock wall waterfall feature that empties into a small "pool", about 180-gallons in volume. Unfortunately, I recently had an autofill installed and copper or brass was used for the fittings. As I was using chlorine tablets to keep the basin clean, I had a reaction and developed green stains on the rocks. I tried to avoid the use of Chlorine by using this product (and eventually I also got the PondCare Algaefix). While the Algaefix killed the algae (I believe based on it all settling to the bottom of the water feature), my water remained green. I could not get it to clear with this product.
