I saw some of the reviews on the smell and it did have some, but after being draped over a chair overnight it was fine. The smell is not overpowering, It's comfortable. I also thought it was going to be more "blanket" like, but in all honesty it makes sense it's not. Used it for an outdoor movie and the kids like it fine. Well worth it.

Great for sitting on at soccer games
Great for sitting on at soccer games! My daughter sits on this while reading on the sidelines. There is a slight odor when you first open it. It can be difficult for younger kids to fold up for it to fasten closed correctly, but not for most adults.
