Shelf Life Concerns
Admittedly bought this more out of curiousity than necessity. I dont use straws that often, but figured me and my friends could go through most of them within the posted 12 month shelf life. However, when they arrived, the manufacure date showed they were made 9 months ago, meaning I only have 3 months to go through 50 straws. I get this is more of a logistical problem, but it shows a glaring fault with the viability of the product.Straws themselves are fine and fun enough. The inside does start to smell a bit odd after a while, but the grassy flavor was minimal and pleasant when it does come in. Decently durable, but if youre a chewer you need to watch out, because they'll start coming apart in strips if you go at it for a while.Overall, I dont regret the purchase but def wont be purchasing any more. Metal really is superior and when you consider the reuse capability is more cost effective despite what the brand's comparison chart says.

Needs improvement
I got this after watching Shark Tank because I really like the concept and hope to switch to a more sustainable and environmental friendly option in my household. However, this straw has a lot to improve. It’s very thin and easily breaks, it does has a grass flavor as well which I love but still not enough to keep. I hope they can improve the quality since their concept is very great.

Not really green
Hoped the straws would be green but they are kind of a hay color

Do Not Waste Your Money
These are legitimately terrible. They are thin and flimsy, and fall apart almost instantly. The walls of the grass are not consistent, which makes them basically impossible to use as a straw. I can't believe anyone would actually charge any money for such a low quality product, and these are expensive straws at that.

Grass
Makes everything taste like grass. Very frail

Fall apart
I didn’t expect these to be super durable, but multiple times they quite literally cracked into pieces just removing them from the box. Some were ok and useable, but ended up throwing out at least a quarter of the box so far.

Prone to cracks, but still worthwhile
I have tried Equo’s coconut, rice, sugarcane and grass straws. They all have their place and they all have distinct differences. This one and the sugarcane one have thinner walls, like a ‘regular’ plastic straw. The sugarcane one is nearly indistinguishable from the plastic ones – essentially the same texture, flexibility, relative lack of any flavor, and even how it feels when chewed on. These grass straws have a pleasant, slightly herbal flavor, which actually goes well with milk and most teas. It’s kinda neat to have a straw that is as natural as this. Unlike the coconut, rice and sugarcane ones, which are made of chopped up, processed natural materials, these are literally pieces of hollow stems. Kids find this interesting (so do I). That does lead to one of the two negatives about these straws – they are prone to having cracks, which makes suction difficult or impossible. Most don’t have this problem, but some in each package do. The only other negative is that these are so lightweight that they don’t sink to the bottom of the glass and are prone to falling out.But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)

Nice for thin cold drinks
If is a narrow straw for thin liquids like coke or water. It is nice long and easy to use. The quality is good and it doesn’t sleep in the liquid content so ofcourse a better straw when comparing to a paper one which would be the right comparable one. It is eco friendly and am a big fan of that. The sizes vary and given the niche level in the market, I am okay with it. It comes in a pretty good box to store it up for a year. I had coke and sparkling water today with it, it didn’t change the flavor or taste of the original drink which is a plus for me. As a person who doesn’t like the paper straws that become soggy after a while, this is a pretty good alternative.

A Good Option
I do not use straws often but when I do, I will use the Equo Grass straws. They are expensive but I do not like plastic for environmental reasons and I do not like paper for the texture. In my box there were a few with extremely thin walls – I couldn’t even get them out of the box without them splintering, others the diameter was small enough to be stir sticks.Still, I do not use them often so I like the alternative.
