One of the best hockey undergarments on the market.
Very similar to my review for Shock Doctor Men's Core Hockey Shirt,Quality + + + + +Price + + + +Features + + + + +Fit + + + +In the case of this product the fit is what drops it from a 5-Star to a 4-Star. I have been using Shock Doctor products for as long as I can remember starting with the mouth guard I used for football. When they started making ice hockey gear it was a no-brianer. I purchased these mainly to compliment my goalie gear as opposed to the gear I wear when playing out of the net. The reason was to incorporate the second cup under the goalie cup rather than wearing a second jock/jock shorts with cup. The fit of the pants themselves is perfect, good solid stitching and quality fabric that almost feels as if it isn't there. However, compared to previous years the protective cup itself has gotten smaller. In order to use the pants I had to pull an older cup out of a shorts set I had from 6-7 years ago the cup in the older set provides better coverage that doesn't feel like stuffing a sleeping bag into a compression sack. To remedy this I recommend either swapping out the included cup with one you know fits, or just buying a larger cup separately.

Size down!
If you need the cup to fit comfortably and true compression, size down!I’ma big boy; 6’2” & 220lbs. Going by their sizing chart the XL fits like pajamas. Large and the cup doesn’t fit correctly. Medium is perfect fit for both a secure cup and true compression. I find the same true with the Shock Doctor hockey shirt.I have a pair of MMA compression shorts from Shock Doctor (225) and they have a much more secure cup pocket. A jock type of fit sewn into the short. I would prefer that with these as well to keep the cup secure and less movement and irritation.Pros: good moisture wicking, grippy texture for shins, comfortable fabricCons: sizing is off, size down. Cup “floats” so if the pant sizing is off, forget about protection.

Great hockey pants!
Great! My son has a medium, but we needed an extra pair, so we ordered the large. Fits him great and the cups can be interchanged. He is 4'6", 83 pounds and has a 26 inch waist. This pair has "texture" on the pants where the shin guards sit, assuming to help hold the shin guards in place better. Nice improvement as it seems to work well since he has eliminated his shin holder and is not complaining. Both the med and large fit him well, but since he is growing, we went with the larger size to grow into. The velco is better stitched than previous years. The pants hold up well, as he is on the ice 4-6 days/week. I machine wash and hang dry.

Love the ease of these for my son
Love the ease of these for my son. He had xxs shorts for the past 2yrs and we went to these in a small- he is a skinny 52# 7yr old wears a 6 in jeans. These are loose in the lower leg, if we wanted compression I’d get the xs but I hope for 2+ years out of these. For reference he was a 3T-4T when he was in the xxs and he can still wear them, the elastic waist stretches but was defiantly getting tight. He prefers to have the full leg vs the short so the longer pants eliminate a layer.

Great hockey pants
My 10 year old son loves these pants. He was wearing the shorts, but the Velcro from his shin pads would irritate the skin on his legs. He has worn the Boys-Large size the past 2 seasons, and this year we had to get him the Mens-Xsmall because his old pants were too short. I was skeptical about moving up the the Mens sizing, but the length is perfect (he is a little taller than average for his age).I wash them in a delicate bag and hang dry and they hold up great. My only complaint is that the printing on the Velcro flaps rubs off.

christmas present for my 10u and minimite
Both of my kids got these for christmas, they already have the shock doctor loose hockey shorts. The small are a little big on my minimite but it is the smallest size they carry, I replaced the red youth cup with the green peewee cup. My 10u replaced the cup with the youth size pelvic protector. These pants do not have the jockstraps inside them, which I have seen mixed reviews on if the compression pant/shorts have the elastic straps or not. My daughter says the pelvic protector sits a little further out than it does in the loose fit shorts, as far as I can see it does the same for my minimite. the cup sits out further. I was hoping that the pants had the elastic straps to keep the cup pulled back, and close to the body, however my kids enjoy having the spandex pants under their pads. They appear durable, and the loose fit shorts have held up well through the hockey season, I would expect the same from the pants

Too uncomfortable to wear
This product was purchased for my eleven year old son who plays hockey. He was excited to have a base layer pant that also had a cup. But after wearing to one practice he said he would not wear it again. The cup was not close enough to his body and he stated it was very uncomfortable. We ended up washing them and putting them in the donate pile after one use. The materials seem durable and well-made. It sounds like the cup is just not well fitted to the male body.

The cup doesn't "hold" your boys safely
The pants are awesome and the velcro is high quality. However, I have noticed that the protective cup merely "sits" in front of your dangling boys, which tells me any hit to the cup is going to instantly smack them. It made me feel very vulnerable. It seems that the sleeve the cup goes inside makes the cup "hang stationary" instead of conforming to the body part. This does not happen with the yellow "Bauer" athletic shorts. I had to rush to put these on OVER the ShockDoctor pants to feel adequately protected.I asked around the locker room and it seemed others have had this experience with these pants and shorts before...

Extremely Comfortable!!!!
Best dry-fit compression pants including the cup I've ever worn!! I ordered the Men's Mediums, I'm 5'9" tall and currently 213lbs, approx 32-34" waist and thick legs. The "squeeze" i get from these pants is perfect, really help with leg fatigue playing hockey. The included velcro tabs for holding up socks is a nice touch. The jock is fantastic as well, don't even notice it when I'm on the ice. I play both winter and summer hockey, so we'll see how well they stand the test of time, but for now it's 2 thumbs up!

Material not durable and holds odors
The fit is fine, very snug, as expected from compression gear. The cup sits a bit too low though.NOT impressed with a couple things. After one game, I noticed the material beginning to raise up in friction points such as thighs. I'd describe it like pilling. Also, I dont wash my jock shorts after every use. This is impossible with these, as the stink...oh the stink! I'm not the stinky guy that the boys hate sitting beside, but immediately after buying these, I was called out for foul smelling equipment! These things hold the odor.I wouldn't recommend unless you wash every time you wear.

Love them
Definitely one of the better comfort fits for hockey underpants I’ve worn and this is my 4th different pair. I’ve gone from Graf to Bauer to Under Armor. Surprised that this brand was as top quality as the other bigger name brands. One thing that is noticeable though is that some quick wear and tear has formed underneath the Velcro part, specifically due to the friction created from the Velcro of my hockey socks. I mean, optically it’s an eyesore, and hopefully it doesn’t lead to the fabric getting worse, but still not enough to deter me from giving the product 5 stars.

Poor Boys
The fit is as expected and the overall structure of the garment is excellent, with One exception. The cup area does not have the two pieces of elastic to keep it pulled against the body like most garments of this style has. So, the boys aren’t always protected. 😳

Works, but there are better products
I bought these because my last pair from a different brand had issues with the seams.Fits me as mentioned in the sizing guide. The jock unfortunately does not stay in place very well. Which is a shame as protection is important.I'm also not sure how long they will last as the velcro for the socks is rubbing on the fabric.
