Super easy, super cute game
I have never played Apples to Apples, but my friends say this game is similar. It’s simple, and as long as one person is able to read, not all players need to be able to. I’ve played with 3 players (not as fun) up to 8 players. The only challenge with a higher play count is that you may run out of cards, but it is totally possible to play with more than 6 (recommended on the box). This is a great, easy, fun, quick game to play for cat lovers! I’m sure dog lovers would feel the same about the dog version.

So simple but so fun
If you like the style of Apples to Apples but want to play with kids who cannot read, this is the perfect game. We bought the puppy version too. We've played it with kids as young as two mixed with adults and teens and everyone was having a fun time, laughing at the names and cooing over the affordable pictures. The cards are a very good sturdy quality and are holding up to lots of use.

This Has Become a Favorite Game
Our grandsons love cats, so they LOVE playing "Name That Kitty". Our only "complaint" is that there weren't more names -- and cat pictures -- included. We resolved the first issue by grabbing blank index cards and writing out dozens more names, ones that the boys chose. If there's ever an expanded version of this game -- or a new version with different pictures we could add to our existing game -- I will quickly buy it.In addition to playing the game as it was intended, we've also turned it around and instead of starting with a name and then picking a cat, we've selected a cat picture and have then chosen names. The game works well either way.

Just Meh
Honestly, this game isn't as fun as it sounded. My kids enjoyed it a little but as an adult it was too simple and quite boring. The only thing this game has going for it is the adorable kitty pictures. NOT worth the price. I wouldn't recommend this particular cat-themed game. Check out "Here, Kitty Kitty" game. Much more interactive and loved more by my family.
