Water-Tite 88106 Mini Round Gas Outlet Box - 1/2-Inch Valve for Iron Pipe, White Plastic

I installed one at my stove and clothes dryer. Very clean finish. Too bad no one will ever see it until appliance is replaced.

After reading the mixed reviews I was somewhat hesitant in ordering this. I have to say I couldn't be any happier and confused about the negative reviews. The product went in with ease and works as it should.

Installed two with no problems, love the look with drywall installed. Got a third one - the hole in plastic housing is too small for the 1" brass threads. Enlarged a little with a huge drill bit, made it work. The back of the box is too tight for the valve to thread into the chromed fitting. I recall having to take off the yellow handle to make it work in one of the previous ones. Putting the handle screw back on was interesting once inside the box. It helps having 1-1/8" box end wrench for the chromed part, an open end for the valve. The black washer that appears in finished picture was not in the kit. Beats having the look of a black iron pipe sticking out of the floor or drywall any day. Love being able to shove the clothes dryer and kitchen stove right up against their walls. Lack of quality control explains reviews with vital parts missing.

The box is pretty small. Hard to get a wrench on to tighten everything down.Also this thing had to be absurdly tight to get it to stop leaking

It is unfortunate for John (12/15/15 review) that he did not receive all the parts as shown. My order came complete with the valve and all mounting hardware. Requires 4.5" width and 2" depth from the face of the stud (another half inch for your drywall).

Item as described, looks very nice and clean.Order was quite late, but i feel it was a currier issue during the pandemic and not so much the seller.I would buy here again.

Does as is expected. Had to get a couple extra fittings for it. But a very clean look after it's all hooked up.
